@ williamh Agreed valuation too steep @ 29 & I switched to BAT @ 10. However, if it corrected further, it definitely justify personal “share buy back” based on their > 2b QR and dividend yield.

Vaccine will not be widely available and scientifically actual efficacy and effectiveness will not be known fully well into 2021/22 due to the “Operation Warp Speed” in the production of vaccines within 1 year ! I hope the vaccines will be successful though for the sake of everyone.

@ Tyco I probably have higher stockholdings value in SuperMax bought at < 6 today as compared to your entire stock holdings unless you are investing in 7 Digits. A gentlemen will use their words in decorum. Management job is to focus on profitability and dividend of the Company and leave the Market to determine the share price.

Share buy back can signal that company directors think that their shares are undervalued. On the other hand, share buy back could send a negative signal that the company has few positive NPV opportunities. As an investor, I would prefer Special Cash Dividend in times of extraordinary profit as a reward to Shareholders as share price should be determined by the Market. Good & generous dividend payout will definitely propel the share price upwards. Management focus should be on driving Company’s profitability and dividend rate instead of determining the value of it’s shares.

Stay calm. The plunging prices are just a technical correction to “fair value” price range based on fundamental valuation price from the previous “irrational exuberance” price.

Just look at the trading volume in high value counters like SuperMax & Top Glove in just this morning session. Do your own analysis.

In the Short term, share price valuation can be irrational due to various factors. Over a period of time, it will and should trade within the Fair Value range. It is even difficult to ascertain with reasonable accuracy the precise Fair Value due to various uncontrollable Macro or even Micro economics issues. At best, determine the Fair Value range based on your own parameters and assumptions but most importantly invest within your own capabilities (spare cash).

At least the litmus test level of 747 not breached today. We have to wait for the End Game - Avengers Return.

Rights issue is a certainty. It is just a matter of timing and amount to be raised. For AA, only Survival is Key. We need AA to survive with fund raising or White Knight (certainly not via Government) ASAP as travelling will still be a necessity Post-Covid in 2021/2022 and beyond.

Minority shareholders or share investors cannot possibly condone Related Party Transactions unless we are connected person or interested parties with vested interest. I rest my case.
