Correct, the lifespan is 4.5 years. And normally the warrant should trade 10-20% again the mother price. But I think, we all knows that, based on the past history, the ytlp-wb seldom or never trade as premium > 5% again the mother price.

another word, ytlp-wb is expensive compare with ytlp now.

my view is, ytlp is better if compare with ytlp-wb in view with the 1:20 dividend. The ytlp-wb already factor in the dividend. 1.14 + 55 = 169.

Theothecally,if ytlp close at 1.70 on monday, on the XD the YTLP is 1.70 X 0.95 ~ 1.62. hence the ytlp-wb will have 7c (1.69-1.62) premium (1.14 + 55 = 1.69)

It's not because we own it, then it's always be up. Beware of bias confirmation

thekennkenn, in short term, it will attrach buyer, in longer term those FM depanding on the dividend will start selling the extra share in order to payout the dividend on it own fund.

let said, FY hold 60%

If Share Cancellation of 5%, the FY holding will increase as below

60% / 0.95 = 63.15%

If Share disctribution of 5%, the FY holding of 60% will increase another 3%

60% + 3% = 63%

There is only 0.15% difference.

In % term, whether share distribution or cancellation, it remains the same for FY. But share distribution will create selling pressure on ytlp, indirectly help sbb buy more @ lower price. And FY gain more in way if compare with cancellation

Ytlp are in dilemma, due to the idealistic of for 3rd generation of the yeoh family, it invested heavily in Telecommunications ..and it can't pull out now, since so much has been invested. The
continuely of losing money will lead it to noway...

I'm not that optimist for the future profit for the broadband of ytlp. We are talking about Outernet now, the USA is testing the new technology for free wifi for the world...how to make profit, not even a leader in today market. .
