Actually I don't think the annual dividend of 2.5 sen will be deducted from the warrant price because it would have been priced in already - with reference to last year's price around 27-29 Aug with 28 Aug 2012 Ex-Date.

Forgot to mention that we may see KLCI going down further but luckily for you, this counter is not part of the index so unless someone panic and hit the sell button .... One good indication today is that there were 65% sell downs today but price closed lower 1 sen only. The force is quite strong with this one.

There you go. I totally agree with Meng Fatt. There is no crisis here in Malaysia. Just foreign funds exiting or some people using QE as an excuse to shake the financial markets a bit. As long as people don't panic sell good counters (undervalued, good momentum, low foreign (aka American) funds), this counter should be alright.
Mind you, good momentum stocks can remain at overbought levels for a very long time. All technical indicators are still positive. If this counter can have a successful break-out above RM1.96, it will shoot up further. Otherwise it may consolidate between 1.78 - 1.96 for a few weeks unless there is a panic attack.
IMHO, the company can buy back shares to signal confidence / support for the share price at that level and reduce free float of shares in the market etc. Although they bought back 3000 lots, this is only less than 9% of total traded volume today which means there were plenty of other interested buyers that bought today.
WA should be a very good stock to play in the coming weeks once buying sentiments return. Both Maybank and CIMB are maintaining year end KLCI target of 1840-1850.
Anyway, another humble opinion. Read at your own risk.

Lepak lah. I think someone is collecting - as long as people do not panic & sell down at a loss, it should appreciate in next few weeks. Dividend next week is small (2.5 sen), it is the dividend in Oct that people should be targeting.

However, if you read this thread, although LBS announced that foreign ownership will increase, we speculate that this is mainly from Chinese based companies (China & HK) - all the same gang who bought the land from LBS - so profit together by owning each others share and get dividends. Left pocket into right pocket. Remains my humble opinion.

Actually some speculate that there are hedge funds who were targetting India and Indonesia and use QE as a reason. Basically QE is dependent on the FOMC's meeting. Yesterday they released minutes for the 30-31 July meeting - because no indication of when QE will taper (US market down). Next FOMC meeting is on 17-18 Sep (Fed will make a statement) and minutes will be released 3 weeks later. The schedule is available here:

Haha. No need to wait for next week it seems. :)

This used to be a good counter, but these few weeks I have learnt not to park money in index stocks. Technicals seem to be negative now and trading below Ichimoku cloud. <sweat>

IMHO, strong support around 1.80 - 1.83 level. I supposed this is currently a good stock to park money in for dividends until after Sep 2013. Warrants may be a good counter to play next week.

It is like saying I ran 5 km last quarter and this quarter I ran 6 km which is an increase of 1 km but market tells me I am crap because market expects me to run 6.3 km and starts to sell down as if I only ran 3km last quarter.

Cool down. I think the mother share is quite well supported due to the strong news / fundamentals + the directors' holdings have also increased.
People are selling the son. At the current price of 0.935 and well supported LBS mother at RM1.81, the warrant should be undervalued. Using Black Scholes with annualized volatility of 34%, the warrants should be priced at RM1.05. As long as people don't panic and keep selling down, we should be alright.
The panic is created from the US markets and foreign funds. Our Q2 GDP actually expanded 4.3%.

@BBB79: Ya lor. :) Agree with you.
Foreign shareholding likely to be Chinese.

Possible but unlikely. IMHO (really humble opinion - no facts to support so take with pinch of salt), the directors would have absorbed all the punters who bought stocks below 1 and sold for a profit at 1+ unless they know this piece of good news is coming. Contra players should have exited as well yesterday due to panic sell down (or maybe not).
Well selling down creates panic, maybe for those who wants to take profit, can consider queueing? Looking at the trend, buyers are still coming in.

It seems that market fear prevails. IMHO, this stock is on a triple time frame up-trend with 10.5 sen dividend (2.5 sen next week + 8 sen in Oct). That translates to 5.67% profit at current price of RM1.85 or 7% if you entered at RM1.50. Wonder why people want to forgo this profit which is already in the pocket and sell down. Fear?

Warrants do not pay dividends. Dividends are only paid to owners of the business (mother shares). Warrants only give you the right to buy into the mother share to own the business so you are not the owner = no dividends.
