Now Kanger just needs to formalize the distribution agreement and appoint a local company to register the vaccine in Malaysia. All this needs to happen in a timely manner. Hopefully Kanger will succeed in securing the vaccine allocation from Sinopharm and will make an announcement this month or perhaps next month.

Also despite what religious authorities say, some Muslims may have personal preferences over halal vaccines. Sinopharm has the advantage cos it’s halal.

Anyway no point speculating now what will happen as nothing is set in stone yet.

Diminishing no doubt but private currently only sinopharm has been approved so far . Other private vaccines not approved yet. Furthermore , most probably Malaysia will prioritize vaccination for Malaysian citizens first . Foreigners will be vaccinated only after Malaysians have been vaccinated. Not everyone is willing to wait.

Besides there are many illegal foreign workers in Malaysia. They are certainly not eligible for free vaccination

Just got an info from Kanger director Mr Joseph Wu. Someone emailed him using email address from Kanger website asking about the vaccine. This is his response : "We are currently still waiting for allocation from China and hopefully we'll able to get it at soonest." READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. I got it from a trustworthy group but I'm not going to believe it 100%.
