GHLSYS's partnering with Globe Telecom (Philippines) to provide mobile e-payment services (Global Charge) for Micro & Small-Medium Scale Enterprise in Philippines.

聯昌研究指出，該公司這項服務主要瞄準菲律賓60%尚未開設銀行戶頭的人口。
商家可以透過連接智能手機或平板電腦的Global Charge手機刷卡器，接受預付卡、信用卡和扣賬卡付款，GHL系統則透過刷卡器的交易費抽成。
手機刷卡器的成本約50美元，遠低於普通刷卡器的150美元。

CIMB quoted , the prime targeted clientele for such Global Charge are to serve non-account holders which contributed to 60% of the population in The Philippines. Merchants shall accepts pre-paid cards, credit cards and debit cards payment via card readers linkage through Mobile Phone & Tablets. GHL are paid commission for the card readers' transaction services. The cost for mobile's card reader ( ~50USD) is much lower than the cost for standard card reader (150USD)

目前，環球電訊徵收的商家折扣率約為290基點，聯昌估計GHL系統可以從中賺取50至60基點。
聯昌表示，GHL系統早已透露菲律賓業務的消息，他們對於上述公佈不感意外。

At present, Global Telecom charges merchants approx. 290 basis points for the transaction, GHL could obtain a 50~60 basis point commission according to CIMB. Such a collaboration between GHL & GlobalTelecom does not come as a surprise as GHL has earlier indicated their plan in The Philippines. Albeit, this could be expected to bring positive impact to GHL's FY15 2nd half financial result, CIMB would not be revising GHL EPS forecast as this collaboration has already been included into the forecast earlier.

This is a very interesting topic....

I give you 2 simple example for illustration to help facilitate understanding

1) If you are in logging business and you log to the extreme without considering
environment impact and replenish & replanting the tress. Then you can be classified
spending the next generation wealth... & etc

2) If you are investing in stock market:- if you did enough home work and did a lot of risk
& exposure control and in the end you make hell lot of money, then this is what you
deserve. This is call opportunity only patronise folk who are ready.

This difference between 1 & 2 is legitimate money and illicit money.

In a nut shell.

I wonder how Creador is going to make use of the 5c divvy:-

1) Distribute to fund holder ? An 8+% return in less than 6 months. Wow Impressive. Wait a minutes, this is by local standard, it is not something to shout about by Creador's Standard.
2) Re-invest to buy more share of AEGB ? I think this is probably the better option as Creador & SMRT are confident to turn around the company within a year, so why reap the fruit
while it is growing. Come on show us some confident , walk your talk or walk your thoughts.....

Anyway, we would know what they are doing very soon as the pay day is next Tues, infact they could be starting to accumulate as early as today if option 2 is preferred.

Just a mere 450 big lot to push the counter up 6+% , so you could imagine how easily could this counter be manipulated by speculators if they wanted to push it up or down.
I doubt that you could use a TA chart to predict this counter movement.
Retailer are at the mercy of the small medium size fund speculators.

You can only see a real reversal confirmation trend that come with convincing financial results with divvy, as by then, the timid retailers would not be so easily shaken then.

Though I'd prefer SMRT than AEGB since the educationalist expertise is in SMRT, but I believe their fate are tied together (唇齿相依). In the long run, i would think SMRT would benefit more from the partnership.

However, AEGB has the edge as it has a cash rich investor sit in the board of of directors。Since it is a closed fund so they prime focus is on return for the fund investors. If company perform well, they will certainly rewards shareholder.

My claim above could be substantiated by the recent divvy payout after asset disposal, so I keep both counters in my "edu sector" portfolio.

i believe so too, looking at the company prospect, I strongly believe insiders and major shareholders are not selling, only the retailers are being squeezed at the moment for someone to collect cheap. I believe it was that few tenth millions of shares keep changing hand that is driving down the stocks.

Target another 30% at 25c and reserve the rest for trend change, I guess that would very much depend on the earning report.

Let me try doing some mathematics here, I am an engineer not an accountant, I could be wrong.

1) SMRT own 23% of AEGB = 409.905m * 0.23 = 94 m
2) AEGB 14 Jul div for SMRT= 94m *0.05 = 4.7m
3) 23% of AEGB 200mil Disposable asset = 200mil *0.23 = 46 mil
4) SMRT is sitting on (1)+(2) = 50+ mil
5) SMRT is paying 51.9 mil for AEGB 23% stake, effectively SMRT is getting AEGB 23% stake for
free.

Where is that major shareholder Mr. Torpedo ?

If this stock hitting 25c, then I will join him as one of the 30 major shareholder.

I think this is a very standard practise in the corporate world. As long as the charges is in line with industry standard. i worked in various multinational company before, we always transfers capacity among sister company and pay for the capacity transferred.
