AA has already response to GMT.. they are complied with the local accounting standard.. should be follow FRS accounting framework. somehow some accounting standard may have grey area which is neither this nor that. the accounting framework should have advised by PWC one.. ya, IFRS (international accounting framework) stated that if a company hv major control over an associates, it should treated as subsidiaries instead of associates. the "major control" term may subjective. i guess GMT at the same time is accuse on AA that taking the interest of loan to its associates which is 88mil taking into the finance income. ya. if treated as subsidiaries, this 88mil interested received in group account would be eliminated but at the same time they is other thing to be knocked off in the group acc.

guess 24th may be another heart attack day for AA.. lolz.. somehow i believe GMT may hv some ground on that in issuing such a statement against AA..

yes.. i agree.. if treated it as subsidiaries.. the amount due from associates is actually net off.. it wont appeal in the income statement nor balance sheet. and due to it is an associates, the share of losses in associates is accounted and disclosed in the audited report.

I don't understand what mean by GMT accuse that the transaction AA with associate companies to boost its earnings. AA loan to foreign associates with interest charges. is there a very high chances that AA foreign associates cannot PAY?
