Dear Samuel,
Invest in equities up few sens, make so much noise simply quoting MACD as your MAIN and ONLY reason to buy a stock.
SamuelLuke:"Hahaha it is going up, when it was .6 I talk about fundamentals some people will come n talk to me about technical .... now it is .785 I talk about technical u come tell me fundamental !!"
I have no idea who are you referring to when you quoted "some people". When it was at 0.60 why didnt you discuss about technicals? because your MACD was still pointing downwards, and you quickly turned to "fundamentals". Now that its edging higher you refer back to your ONLY indicator MACD. What does this show? it shows that you are empty headed and biased.
If you have seen my comments before, i am LONG on this counter but i refuse to celebrate when it is only up a few sens. Fundamentals and Technicals should be used in tandem. While i am much stronger when it comes to technicals, i am well aware that fundamentals should prevail over technicals when it comes to trading equities. Only clowns like you and sarah often shout rubbish, syiok sendiri.

Dear Samuel,
I have more than 10 years of experience in trading using technical analysis. In fact i use ichimoku, commodity channel index, moving averages and chart patterns. More often than not i find MACD giving false signals. An example would be to look at the MACD crossovers in this counter seen in September and November. While it "produced" "buy" signals, the counter consolidated or moved lower instead.
Also if you are a professional trader who relies on technical indicators, you don't just rely solely on ONE indicator.
Lastly, while you may prefer to trade using technical's, Fundamentals always stand out for equities in the end.
So answer me dear samuel, are you a freshie?

if you were concerned about heavy selling at 50 cents, then shouldn't you be more concerned that there was also heavy buying at 50 cents? Yet, price is now at 52.5 cents?

still people bought more at 50 cents. 0.525 cents at close. Matter of perspective.

Just to recap to end 2018:
As of third quarter 2018 (30 Sept 2018)
1.) Net Tangible Assets stands at = RM 1.93 per share
2.) Net Cash per share = RM 0.52 per share
3.) Dividend of RM 32,822,000 to be paid in 2019 totaling to = RM 0.12 per share

Veron..where are u?
2018-12-21 18:43 | Report Abuse
Like i said, not surprising for buyers because mostly long positions. You cant really establish short positions. So no point you want to keep price as low as possible.
2018-12-21 17:30 | Report Abuse
While it is not surprising why there are small buying volumes to try to keep the price support(company undervalued, support px for mark to market purposes etc), it is extremely weird why is there small selling volume trying to keep the price subdued. Why is it weird is because we dont have a strong or fair market to allow short selling.
Only reason i can think of..1) existing shareholder trying to keep price low so that they can scoop up at lower price.
2.) Existing shareholder tryin to trigger margin calls or stop losses.
3.) Existing shareholder in deep trouble, pairing down stakes to raise cash.

I think why they have not done any share buyback is because it could involve them having to undertake a mandatory offer for MAA
Kindly refer to circular dated 30th april 2018, Part A, point 6. - should the buyback result in an increase of shareholding by more than 2% within a 6 months period, MESB and the parties acting in concert will be obliged to undertake a mandatory offer.......
2018-12-13 14:30 | Report Abuse
You are right jamesooi, based on the circulars, there is still a 9 sen div to be paid 2018 and 2019. While we expected 6 sen 2018 and 6 sen 2019, it seems like we will only get 3 sen in 2018 (paid april) considering that we are already in december. So we may get 9 sen div in 2019 under note g.

Thats my concern. What will happen if not extended? And not taken private also. Meaning, it is simply being delisted.
2018-12-13 10:16 | Report Abuse
Hi jamesooi and cipta,
Thank you for your constructive feedbacks.
Kindly enlighten me. Of course being privatised is a positive thing. My concern is, should they drag further(not looking for business), bursa may eventually reject their approval for a further extension to submit their regularisation plan.
In this case, MAA is not obliged to take it private. They can just delist and continue to pay themselves high salary.
2018-12-13 00:17 | Report Abuse
Finally, what are the chances of getting delisted without being taken private?
2018-12-12 23:43 | Report Abuse
Also, how did u derive that the average share buyback price to be at .80 and .90 per share? With the assumption if sharebuyback is done before dividend (in note g) then the div per share should be even higher isnt it?
2018-12-12 23:26 | Report Abuse
Jamesooi,
Thank you for sharing the salient points.
Please correct me if i am wrong. With reference to note g, i dont think they will be paying another 3 sen div in 2018 since we are already towards the end of 2018.
Assuming no share buyback in 2018/2019. Div of RM 32.82 mil to be paid in 2019 should amount to approx 0.12 sens per share and not the 0.09 sens mentioned.
