MClean Technologies Berhad ("The Group") continued to remain resilient and strong in 2020. The Group weathered the Covid pandemic challenges and adapted to the changes in operating environment.
The Group achieved a total revenue of RM 56.2 million. This is a creditable performance in view of the disruption to our factories under the MCO lockdown in early 2020. In addition to the improved gross profit margin from 21% in 2019 to 23.8% in 2020, the Group also benefitted from the compensation received and government grants during the year. Overall, the Group achieved a net profit after tax of RM 1.3 million.
Forward Looking Statement
Our factory in Thailand is expected to increase revenue from the 2nd half of 2021 however this revenue increase would be offset by the weak revenue outlook of our factory in China. Meanwhile our factories in Johor is expected to improve on revenue and performance over last year 2020.
Overall total revenue and operating performance in 2021 would be about the same as in 2020.
One of the Group’s core strength is in contamination control and cleanroom packaging. Currently, our cleaning process is limited by customers having to bring their products to our Cleanroom facilities for cleaning. Observing that the Covid-19 pandemic created a huge market for sanitisation on the go, we are exploring the possibility of satisfying customers’ needs in a similar convenient fashion.
