how to put a factor on future growth? Just like eforce prior to its flying!!! If the 700mn impairment is reversed, how much more to add to EPS?

Aiya.... just wait for Petronm results for indicator la!!! It's coming.... they had not report their earnings after 25th.... this mth 25th is Sat, so they may announce on 23rd or 24th!!! Then let the market determine it's true value!!!!

looking at historical can be an indicator, however the mgmt has changed, business direction n strategy changed, timing plays a big part too n oil market was rock bottom. Let's make sound predication/affirmation once 3Q is out. One of the clear example that all knows is last year 3Q was a negative EPS n in any other years... if coming 3Q is outstanding, then we could say last yr 3Q is this year's 2Q (with maintenance shutdown) n this year's 2Q is a positive!! This could reflect how the new mgmt is managing it's resources, profitability n creating synergy. Then the past can live as history n put into the museum. In a cyclical industry, a champion company makes things happen by balancing n understanding its own capability towards the current n future market outlook n its prospects to reward themselves n its stakeholders/shareholders/expectation/pride of nation, just like Petronas!!! .Signs are there, we all shall see what will be in the books in less than 12 days time....

Don't think it is imperative to look at monthly or quarterly performance which makes judgement inaccurate esp. on maintenance shutdown, inventory mtm on crude oil, one-off disposals, mandatory capex etc.... however "more" accurate when looking at a longer term investment perspective to gauge if their business is profitable n has potential to reward it's internal or external shareholders n stakeholders. EPS 3.00 is what we are looking for!!! Go go go!!!

Just to take note that IF and once ASB deplete their bullets, need to take into consideration they may command his other troopers in the name of ASW!!! Though not as many as ASB, but not bad!!! We must get ready for full force battle!!!
