If a warrant has high premium, does that mean the market expect the mother share to have high probability of going up. My thought on warrants trading at discount is that mother share might be overvalued. What do u think Jon?

Hi Jon, I started invested investing 3 years back, so I guess we both started more or less around the same time. I can totally relate to it when u mentioned how u spent so much time researching stocks and learning investment yet failed to produce decent result. When was I in college, I spent most of my time reading the books about those big time investors like Warren, Klarman, Howard marks etc too, but still I failed to beat the market despite all all the hours I invested.Which is why I came to i3 more frequently now to learn the "street ways" of investing and see if I could apply them well. I admire your courage to share your thoughts even though u dont have much of a track record and given how toxic this forum is. Continue doing what u do best! Remember Kyy, Otb, icon, have their fair share of haters too.

May I know why interest expenses and income are excluded to calculate real earnings? I thought interest expenses were part of cost of doing business.

"Based on the 21% of produciton expansion (850k ton from 700k ton) metric tons as per Annjoo’s CEO (Dato Lim) in the Asia Nikkei’s Interview, the estimated increment in Annjoo net profit (GP) in 2018 is given by the below equation:
NP = 2017 Revenue X 1.21 (21% increase in production) X 10.5% (higher PM as ASP increases by 10%)
= RM2240M X 1.21 X 0.105
= RM285M"
Why is revenue for 2017 total RM2240m? The latest 4 quarters revenue amounts to RM2026m. Is my calculation wrong?

very good article!! btw drop in value to bankruptcy for BANK A,B,C should be 9%, 20% and 1 % respectively. Can Jon kindly elaborate the math underlying the thumb rule valuation? Please write more such articles in the future :D, thanks!

If the house cost 200k and is sold in fifth year for 220k, does that mean the buyer lose 20k capital assuming 80:20 structure
