I bought them solely based on their NTAs at attractively low price on the basis that there are high chance for Asset divestments or M&A:Corporate Exercise.

Exactly. Need to manage the risk without being overly aggressive in current market situation. I had bad calls on The Star (despite low entry price @0.65) & Parkson (@0.23) & guess it will be long term investments.

Fortunately, I exited AA ~ 2.75-3 prior to the Special Dividend. Will re-enter and buy-back AA depending on the price & Q3 results due out towards end November and overall global equities situation.

When banking stocks declining, it is a clear sign of overall market correction and heading towards a bear market. Market will only recover once the economic situation stabilizes and foreign funds return in droves.

Based on Research Houses TPs, a 40%-50% upside from current low price instead of FD interest of 4% :) Balance Sheet rock solid and earnings growth will certainly propel it towards TP in due course.

Research reports all very positive on earnings growth from FY2020 onwards and TP. The start of another up cycle ? Last Call :)

My entry point lower based on accumulation at 1.04-1.05, having exited from substantial gains in VSI, Air Asia, Aeon & Airport based on bottom fishing strategy. With the 3.84 sen dividend going Ex tomorrow, you should be able to generate double digit capital gain too in due course based on your low entry price of 1.10, even after the short term price adjustment due to dividend payment & negative market sentiments.

Good resistance at 1.16-1.20 that will allow for “weaker holders“ that bought at the lows to take short term trading profit until Ex-Date on 3/10. Otherwise, uptrend seems intact.

Relative Strength Indicator is indeed a good indicator when used with other indicators. However, it is a momentum indicator & do not forget that it is adjusting from the recent low of 1.03-1.04 due to irrational selling & forthcoming dividend. Market has no memory & TP is subjective depending on individuals investment strategy.
