While they can cite practically anything under the sun to justify their forecast amendments, like changes in business conditions & environment, policy changes, demand & supply changes, inventory changes, the weather blah blah blah.

Problem is, forecasting could in fact be a major income stream for them. So that, ironically, the more indecisive they are the more often they change their minds. Which would mean more frequent forecasts, and therefore more revenue, for them.
