Me personally is very optimistic about the coming quarter result after reading the qr since 2011 and I have found one interesting thing which is when reading the B3 statement which is the "Prospect", I have found that the management is very careful in using the "word" like shown in the 2015 Nov qr.

It is stated that:
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Group anticipates satisfactory performance and "growth" in the "next coming quarter".

It is not "the current financial year" or "for the financial year end 27 Aug 2016"

You can view the B3 statement from qr 2011 to 2015 and referring to the each quarter result

Btw what RainT said has reminded me that chinwel does have* receivables and cash in different currencies like Euro, USD, Vietnam Dong, Ringgit and etc (AR page 62 and 64) which means it is not only benefited from the strengthening of USD against Myr but also Euro against Myr and Vietnam Dong against myr

Hope someone clears my doubts, as shown in the B5 statements above, the realised forex gain is RM 2,869,000 and the unrealised one is RM 1,875,000. As the realised one is already HAPPENED, therefore only the RM 1,875,000 which is the unrealised forex gain will affect the result during the next quarter?

letitgoletitgo, I am still dont understand, based on what I read in the 2015 annual report (page 84) which is a table that showing the sensitivity analysis for foreign currency risk. It is showing that the profit of the company will be increased when there is a strengthening of USD against myr. It clearly shows that chinwel will be benefited

So you are saying most of the export-oriented stocks that are benefited from the strengthening of USD against myr should not be bought as the FOREX GAIN of the stock should be excluded and should not be calculated as the profit margin. But we do know that US is starting to increase the interest rate since last year and I expect the trend of the strengthening of USD against myr to continue at least 2 years from now onward. So what is the problem with the forex gain?
