@Monetary I don't disagree with your analysis. But the war just started, and we do not know how far it will go. It could end by the end of the week, next month, or years. The dumping caused by covid ended in more or less a month, but other sell-offs in the history do not always ends with a consistent timing, nor will we know when this will end. Just don't get too reckless and all in on something when investing.

War creates uncertainty and panic. Has nothing to do with technology or not, some investors choose to flee to "safety" with lower risk investments or straight up just keeping cash for now.

Guys, Malaysia's tech stock is closely tied to Nasdaq movement. And the Russia-Ukraine tension is causing steep fall in US market. I'm holding some at 6.5 average, but please be cautious on buying the dip too early (invest only with money that you can afford to lock-in for multiple years/afford to lose).

Thanks for the reminder and great analysis @Observatory. I was totally in the impression that cukai makmur will be on FY2023 which consists of 9 months in CY2022. No wonder Harta's price got f over during that announcement, should've spent more time researching.

@bang_miskin completely agree with the trading remark on glove counters. I personally choose not to trade. I don't need the money that I can get from selling, so I hold believing better times will come when people get out of this roller coaster sentiment.

To others that could be reading on those "promoters" comments, dont buy/sell stocks without doing your own research.

The price fluctuated between RM5 - RM6 - RM7 several times in just the past 6 months alone, if you are so good at trading, you should've been able to make money by buying low and selling high.

I'm not confident in my ability to trade and predict prices, so I don't trade. I'm confident in the company's prospect 3-5 years down the road, and I don't need to cash out the money I've invested, so I hold.

I will only sell if my emergency funds suddenly became insufficient or if I stop believing in the company.

Invest maturely, everything else are noises.

Just believe in the management, they know what they are doing, short term share prices are just noises for the long term goals. If you only see negativity in the glove sector moving forward, then this counter may not be for you. For me, while pandemic may swing short term share prices for abnormal gains, minus the pandemic doesn't mean the company is shit. They have been growing steadily and the management said they can observe more future growth in glove demand.

Whatever negative things that we can see, the management can see too. So it is whether you believe in their ability to navigate it. From what I observe so far, they are still doing better than their peers, and even outperforming some other industries, so I believe them. :)

I can't afford to buy more without feeling risky, so going to just hold and wait. Dont't sell at low price = don't contribute to falling price. The trading price is just an indication of willing buyer and seller that are trading now.

Today is one of the days where you don't look at bursa if you don't have spare cash to shop. Tech stocks be going on heavy discounts.

Jovane, I feel sad for you reading your comment history. Hope you learn to be a wiser investor and not to gamble in the share market. Calling 5.99 the bottom 3 months ago and go all in is overconfidence, calling that the share price will drop to rm4 and stay there for more than 3 years is also overly certain on an uncertain future. Good luck.

Hopefully the slow climb comes with better support during correction.

I do own Harta and I do recommend buying Harta at <RM6 regardless of any new variant (not financial advice). Just a bit icky about sharing unconfirmed "news" - this generally leads to people believing things from unofficial sources which are harmful most of the time.

There's nothing official on this "Delmicron" variant right? Let's not spread unnecessary rumors until it is confirmed.

Prudentinv clearly does not have any audit experience nor a full picture on how a financial audit actually works.

When a company is sueing 2 out of 4 of the big 4 firms, and neither of the other 2 wants anything to do with it, it is a clear sign of trouble.

Omicron is here, and people are not taking it seriously. All evidence shows transmission speed that's unprecedented, yet people take comfort in the fact that the effect are less severe. Even if it is less severe, just by the sheer amount of people getting infected through lack of proper SOP, the low % of severe-ness * high population of infection will still result in high hospitalisation rate.

Which country wakes up first to take appropriate measures will be the country that suffer the least eventually.

Let's hope Malaysian take of Omicron seriously so that we don't get another eventual lockdown like the rest of the world...

Yeah people are playing down Omicron way too much imo. Even if it is less severe than delta or other variant, why be complacent and get infected for no reason? Just stay safe and follow sop guys...

@Anxious if you believe in your research and also the management, then let's ride this out with them, unless they also show signs that they can't deal with the risks and uncertainty.

For now, I still believe that the company is sufficiently prudent to be able to fight with its competition comfortably. Share price may not reflect company performance, as a company's price can stay overvalued/undervalued for a long long time.

I don't want to regret later for not believing in the management, so I'm holding on for now, regardless of the share price.

Guys, we never know what will happen in the future. While all the risks discussed are real, they are just risks and uncertainty. It depends on how much you believe in the company's ability to navigate through these risks. I have faith in my decision.

@Natsuko well there's no way that any of us can be sure. It depends on how much the earnings drop from here, I just have faith that the society's health consciousness would not decrease from here. So, let's see what will happen. :)

Yeah this slow bleed could be expected in absence of new scary news for Omicron. Many short term "investor" flocked in betting on glove rally for Omicron and this dip is slowly shaking them out. Would be good if we close the year at this price range ~5.8 - 6.0.

Consistent dividend collection over the next 5 - 10 years alone could recover the entire investment cost, not even considering growth opportunities yet.
