Yeah China is definitely a threat, and we can't be certain whether the chinese people will takeover. Will they be able to disrupt? Yes, definitely. But will they be able to replace and takeover, I personally don't think so, let's wait and see. While they can be very successful in many areas, there's also more than a handful of example where they cant just storm in and takeover. Agree, let's see.

CharlesT, are you saying Harta was dying before the previous pandemic? Not everyone is waiting for windfall.

And yes, utilisation is at 49% I believe, in the latest quarter announced. Cutting down of old plants and transitioning to new and more efficient plant is emminent now.

While I'm a believer that Harta will come out of this, I will still tell people not to buy if you are looking to profit in 1 year or less. Just go to other uprising industry for better short term chances.

@valueinvestor33 while what you say are true, the context is pretty different. Entering at the peak not knowing that PE is understated due to abnormal profits and subsequently got trapped; vs. entering now thinking that bottom is relatively near, eventhough both holders may have intention to hold for 5 years, but context are very very different.

The removal from KLCI is highly likely priced in, it's been predicted for so long and there's so many articles about it. NFA, I don't want to ruin anyone's livelihood, I could be wrong.

@bang_miskin quite dangerous trying to buy low sell high I think. Need to be mentally prepared to sell at a loss or hold for long term (trap). I prefer to only buy when I want to hold for long term. I would've trim some if the rally somehow reaches rm2.5 after QR (which i deem a little overpriced at the moment with short term prospect), too bad it didn't.

Could recall where I read/heard, but it seems that last week's overall rally in Bursa is due to foreign investors. US rate hike expectation slows down due to inflation rate decreasing, and also Malaysia reported good GDP growth. Some good catalysts for the overall market.
