US stock rose as optimism grows! Many said the logic of the Republican's action is to get the health care bill folded into the general negotiation on spending. That negotiation will not happen until the debt ceiling is addressed. So far, nobody has a real idea of the content or time frame of the resolution. Nor does anyone have much idea of the scenarios that might have a real impact on markets. So the news is just that there is no news.
