I see many readers worry on oil price and ringgit currency movement so they called it big picture. In year 2010 oil hit usd 160 per barrel. Crazy fund managers like morgan stanley predicted it will go to usd 200. Airlines go hysterical and hedge oil prices for advance into many years and they get caught with their pants down when oil plunged. Nobody predicted oil price to come down so drastically. Our CEO then told us oil price will come down to usd 30, all of us think he was crazy. He was right but wrong on the timing. It took so many years for oil to come down. So now airlines of the world start from bottom n hedging upwards and use more of their common sense. It will be many years before a cycle will repeat itself. For the next two years airlines will be rather comfortable to carry out their business because they hedge from very low oil price and economic of the world is better now. When oil price high again and airfares increases and economic not doing well then u see group of people will be using car to travel from Penang to KL or Singapore etc. This is exactly happen during the financial crisis ( we were told not to fly drive with max no of passengers, seminars aborted ). Now we can fly anyway as fares are cheap bosses will not make noise. With low oil prices all countries are growing together.With ringgit so low more China tourists will come here. Just throw a stone in our airport u will likely hit one. So expect aa profits to soar.

Many many years ago I was working in a listed company in K L. On the first week It was really friendly introduction to all the executives and bosses of each department. There was this very quiet guy just said hello to me and on the second week he started to write email to me long long and can be 4 or 5 pages A4 paper size.The contents were all rubbish and did not make sense. I complained to my colleagues including HR department. They told me welcome to the club he did it to all of us. Do not worry.
On confirmation of my post after 6 months the CEO called and asked me very strange u seem to enjoy working here compare to others. So I sense it must be the funny guy's email. He told me to forward one to him which I did. The poor guy was lectured and told to behave and not waste times writing long emails. In one month's time I was told he was asked to leave the company. The CEO bumped into me during lunch time and He told me the funny guy wrote an email to him almost 6 pages long. Well there u go they are funny peoples around us. People just cannot fit into team building and no leadership. I am 61 years old and still working my advice to them if their behavior is reflected in their work place they will not go far. They may have a job now and soon they will learn the reality their actions are being monitor by their bosses as well.
We all should help them by not attacking them unnecessary. Thanks

Fortune Bull. Does not mean Aax no good. Most long haul airline not doing so well even oil price low, I think it is the keen competition among them and load factor is not so high and u notice geological tension is not good now and people boycott this and that example china not like south Korea etc. Basically this year is a year of the malaysian shares to rise. In between there is rough ride but if got huge dividend, why worry?

BWC was in Supermax forum when I made a lot money as the share of Supermax rised from 1.9 to above 3 ringgit. I sold and bought back when the price came tumbling down to 2 ringgit. BWC made money from 2.6 to 3 but I think he lost a bit including me when price came down. I used to see u reporting supermax up and I was happy together with u. Then u come to aa forum and reporting up and up but lately u added rubbish behind each sentence. Aa is a share worth promoting because it is a good growth share. Pending no war breakout it is worth buying for short term also. For long term buy and just close your eye. Even oil go to 70 usd, no problem. BUY. I have been promoting this stock to friends when the share was at 60 cents, to big bosses etc and no body scold me. U are the only one.

No I am not trying my luck. I was caught off guard thinking only one bag will be weighted. As I said earlier I travel every week so on previous cases they weighted only one bag even ruling already in place on 15th of march. I already always ensure my bag with trolley around 5 kg. You should see the number of people are frantically adjusting and taking out items from their bags. Many still arguing and flight is slightly delayed. I notice if plane arrive earlier they will spend more time checking on this.7 kg is very little to carry. Believe me many tourist will not like this ruling but some will still use air asia like me. I will only carry my backpack with or without my laptop. I flied from Chiangmai to Hatyai a few days ago and I can see the load factor is not so good already as Malinto Air has attacked this route.
Have you seen Medan tourist arguing with air asia people on the ground on this ruling and the pilot subsequently announced over air asking people not to be rude with their air asia employee. The sight or people frantically open their luggage is not not good sight for other foreign tourists to see. Wait till the tourist from China come more then u will will see this ruling will be challenged and need modification Reduce the fine to lesser amount of Rm 100 will be fair.
I just registered this account with i3invest is to warn people not to be caught off guard and RM 200 is very heavy. I will feel sorry if my son and daughters and friends get into this situation.I had instructed HR to issue notice warning all employees about this.
Do not worry I bought many aa shares from 60 cents to 3.20. I want aa shares to reach 6 ringgit. Please tweet to TF about this to reduce the fines if possible. I bet with u all it will be reduced but the longer it delay doing so it will backfire as other airlines are trying to be friendly now.

Actually I was too quick to pay. I should have take out my laptop and I had forgotten a friend i met was carrying light. You can use another person as combined weight.Yes I had paid. Never mine hope the shares go up. Ancillary income is big.

air asia already implement the policy of two bags bring on board flight with a combined weight not more than 7kg. On a flight from Penang to Medan yesterday I was fined RM 200 after two bags were weighted before boarding. I paid the fine as I felt a bit shy to argue. On previous occasions they had weighted only one bag and not my backpack, so I was caught off guard. So beware and just travel very light as RM 200 is very heavy. I am sure many tourist especially from China may not like it. I hope air asia can consider lowering the fine to RM 100. I use air asia weekly to travel within Asean and on short route I always bring luggage up the plane unless my boss also buy luggage. So far Penang very strict in weighing your bags but not in thailand and Medan. But be prepare is better than sorry later. In a long run people will still accept this ruling as air asia is very convenient and efficient airline. 1st quarter result will be excellent but I notice load factor for 2nd quarter likely drop a bit within Asean area.
