You did say you sold and are out, yet you are running a negative campaign: not in the stock + negative campaign = scare tactic trying to push the stock lower. simples! I do appreciate honest advises, such as TheContrarian's. Unfortunately I can't say the same about you.

Darrenliew.. you chose 1 target price of 2.50 and ignored 9 target prices above 2.8? Some even 3.3! Maybe YOU need to be real.

I sense some scare tactics here. I urge investors not to over react.

Appoloang.. you are mixing bank services with stock fundamental results.. you might hate the bank, but it's just doing fine without your money.. and that's what matters for an investor! I have my acc in standard chartered, not in affin.. i love affin stock fundametals.. do i have to move my capital there? Of course not. I will have no effect whatsoever!

Titus.. my strategy is shut your screen and go do something else. Sooner or later you'll be pleased with the price. Monitoring the price everyday is not benefitial. Big Fish eat small fish who keep monitoring the screens by playing a psychological game and depressing the stock price.

Let me share my prediction with you guys: The Quarter results will be announced on or after mid August. The results are expected to be positive and therefore might ignite a rally for Affin from now until the result announcement. We might see the price reach 3.10 or even more. I could be wrong.

titus.. I bought Affin at 2.11 and sold at 2.95.. This is my second ride.

The reason I respect TheContrian is that he gives sincere advice i.e. Diversification. Anyhow, as we discussed previously, there is no stock in KLSE as attractive as Affin. Plus the fact that I'm already diversified by investing in different countries

Initially I got hooked with major IPOs inwhich I made good instant money (excluding Malaysia of course). Then I started following certain stocks which I liked and started accumulating slowly.. both Indonesia and Philippines are emerging markets with high potential. Especially Indonesia after Jokowi, a reformist, became president. I'm following the currencies, actually the currency dips made those countries attractive. Now, I made some gains in both the currencies and stocks.

I view any fall in the price as an opportunity to buy.. my traget this time is above 3.3.. unless there is a tune we can dance to that can take it even higher as you've just suggested. i don't see Affin going above 4 impossible in 2017-18, it can do it with the right circumstances.

TheContrarian.. how do we know the amount of stocks left to be sold by kenanga? If we can't know, then I believe that buying at different prices is a better strategy than waiting until Friday as they might have sold most of their shares..

TheContrarian, what other stocks in the market that have similar potential to Affin and HAVE NOT RISEN MUCH yet. I'm looking for stocks similar to Affin when it was around the price of 2.10.

TheContrarian.. I did buy some quantity @2.82 again. But not as much as I sold @2.95. I still have orders @ 2.81 & 2.80 that were not filled.

TheContrarian just beware of one thing.. maybe traders have factored in the price an exaggerated expectation that Affin Hwang would have good results. If QR comes out "normal" or "mediocre", Affin may go down- sharply.

A correction is necessary and healthy to the stock. I believe Many Affin lovers, including me, feel that buying the stock without the correction occuring is risky. I sold @2.95 and am willing to board the ship again when it refuels. I won't board the ship in the open seas while some investors are actually fleeing.

With respect to The Contrarian, I tend yo agree with nickicheong. My gut feeling (which I trust most of the time) says that Affin needs to take a deep breath and retreat to at least 2.7, 2.6 and possibly 2.5 before trying to climb above 3.

3.05 resistance + ex date 15 may = likely goes down 16 may.. + i made good profit from 2.11 = sold

In Affin for the long haul. all stock & economy signals are positive.. still a long way to go imho.

dividend announcement should be Today Friday 25th or at least Monday 28th in the latest

More cash is waiting if it goes down.. actually wish it would go down :)
