Your are right from the point of view of fundamental issue.. but the stock price movement does not just relied on fundamental, in fact most of the short term price movement is driven by the market maker/operator where you will rely on technical analysis. if there is market maker already collected enough then you will see price spike up.

There are many fundamentally bad company where the price is moving like nobody business due to this fact. So just wait and see..of course if the issue is resolved, the price will continue to move based on the verdict.

If you happened to buy the stocks just before the ex date i.e price already goreng up, then good luck to you. Of course if you re going long term and the counter is fundamentally good, then probability is the price will rise.
