If this is anything to go by, SKPETRO is a definite strong buy. If banks are queuing up to give you a loan, then they definitely believe that you have a very solid business plan with clear profits and liquidity in the future.

Looks like they're taking out some pocket money. No matter how high the price goes up, if you dont cash out, it's only a paper gain. Maybe it's to celebrate. We dont know. But at such miniscule numbers, it's barely anything worth noting.

I think it has some to do with managament but more due to public sentiment that the property market is not going to do well this year with all of the propery cooling measures.

Dont just look at Tropicana, go look at UEM Sunrise, Mah Sing, SP Setia.... They're all not doing well. Tropicana's fundamentals look solid, it just needs some good news for the engine to get going.

Gadang looks like it's close to being fully valued... we probably need some form of catalyst to propel it upwards again. News of tenders won or quarter reports will definitely restart the engines.

We shall see how the rebranding works with Metropark, Kajang and M Green launching this year. Tropez in Iskandar is sold out and Bora looks to do well too. Tropicana is not as intricately linked in Johor to suffer so much from the property cooling measures.

People who got in at 1.20 will just hold and reap the benefits at the end of this year.
Idiots (like me) who got in at 1.40 will probably hold and pray for Tropicana to fulfill its potential for huge growth this year.

Fundamentally, I believe it's a good stock and the true dumping/flying phase will be seen from the 1st Q results of 2014.
