In my opinion, the Big 4 are better off deploying their own 5G.

With the current DNB's offer, it doesn't make business sense in terms of cost. Not to mention after the contract ended, the infra is not even belonged to you but to DNB.

While it's good to have more competitors in the industry to avoid monopolization. With our current demographic, I don't think we have any monopolization risk at the moment. In fact, the competition in the telco industry is just the right mix.
- Not too many competitors where the price will go down, but service will follow suit as the companies would only focus on a price battle then we get poor coverage and slow service.
- We have a Big 4 that complements and keep each other in check with smaller companies picking up the pace or these small companies may eventually join up and form the Big 5.

The current government is just too hard-headed/ego to realize without the Big 4, the 5G deployment will just be slow.

It makes NO sense to add more players in the current situation if what you want is to speed up the 5G deployment in the country, it could be a win-win situation but it is not. It's the same as you hiring someone to do a job, you can't pay a fresh-grad rate to an employee with 5 or 10 years experience, ain't you?

Well unless they doing that for some cronies, then that's a different case.

Get your fact right. That one is expected downtime because DiGi is doing system migration. They already informed their users way before 25th Oct.

Yeah, nothing really happen in DiGi, just that Bursa sentiment is not so good now. Pandemic and political issues plagued the whole market. We can expect slow or no much big price activity in this counter for the next few months I guess.

E-wallet is just like your physical wallet, you put your money in and use it. For example like your Touch'n Go card, just that this medium is now support online and offline.

On the other hand, credit card is like 'borrow' from the bank where you need to pay back later. E-wallet is you use whatever amount you have in your e-wallet account, no extra no less.

Then you will ask what is the difference between e-wallet and debit card, then I would said it actually not much different. Debit card, you have a physical card where you swipe or pin-and-pay while e-wallet, you have an account or an app on your mobile phone to use it through Samsung Pay, Apple Pay so on.

Keywords here is:
1) Credit card (physical), like a 'loan' from bank.
2) Debit card (physical), use only what you have in your account.
3) E-wallet (virtual), you can use it online like how you pay for online shopping or at store where you will be sent a one-time-password (OTP) to authorize your transaction.

Oh yeah, an extra benefits on e-wallet is that sometimes they have offers like cashback or discount deals on specific partner merchants (just like credit card). Debit card on the other hand, don't have this benefits.

I don't think it can be factor in the reports, unless Gpacket sell the G3 shares then it would be a gain. Else, I think it will only be treated as an asset or something... (P.S. I'm not an accountant, just voicing out my opinion.)

Director Boey Tak Kong bought (200,000 shares with RM73,000) and (500,000 shares with RM180,000) which on average is RM0.365 and RM0.36.

Anyway, RM0.365 seems like a good entry price for me...

James James, Already told you to not just listen to people and do your own analysis... Now you burnt your hand and you kpkb here.. I see you go everywhere asking for "what to do next", c'mon! man up and do your own decision! Same piece of advice I commented here earlier, don't do trading if you are not ready and from the way I see you, "Yes, you are definitely NOT ready!"

Never see a constructive word from you, only "Later how har? Buy or sell har? Hold or sell har?". Get the hell out of this counter please, people say and you listen, do they force you to buy? Then later loss you kpkb here, if you earn le? Do you share your profit with them? People say, you yourself is the one choose to listen, then be prepared for whatever coming at you later. Trading is combination of profit and loss, YOU DONT MAKE PROFIT EVERY SINGLE F**KING TIME.

Damn lots of kiddo nowadays... Cant even trade in peace with all these hate and childish comment around..

Stock

2017-04-03 10:15 | Report Abuse

He's not 'syok sendiri', IOT is indeed the future trend for Malaysia. Although we are considered slow compared to other countries like Japan, Korea, US and etc, but yes, we are moving towards that direction.

C'mon, invest for the company potential growth... GPacket is working on e-banking those regions and those are the future trend. Even if it doesn't earn much, but definitely will not at loss unless their management is like our country then I have no more words.

Haha, get ready for price down since they pushing it down about half sen everyday.

But no worry, this counter is for long-term investment. GPacket invested in e-payment services, and these services are future trend. Refer to this (http://www.webonline.com.my/wol/), the company that they invested for e-payment.

In addition, GPacket itself is working on LTE equipment which is also a must in this era as we need Internet everywhere and anywhere.

I have confidence for this counter, but it up to you guys to stay with this counter or not. Happy trading guys!

Family Mart will be around Dec, and it's a good thing that 7-11 going to have a competitor on par with it.. This will not only keep it moving forward, but also improve its current strength to compete with others.. In Taiwan or Thailand, both Family Mart and 7-11 have been facing each other head on. Not only their services and selection improved, people also more willing to buy more with them, offering more competitive market at 24 hours basis. Personally, I think Family Mart entering Malaysia is actually a good thing, regardless to market or 7-11. Things grow stronger when they are challenged, isn't?
