Told you to convert to notion. Most export com would register a drop in earnings as the RM appreciates but notion is in a very weird position nx Q as it will have good derivative gain when RM recovers.

If the ringgit keeps strengthening till the end of march we shd be looking at some derivative gains. Even at 4.00 we can expect a few millions gains.

Furthermore lonbisc potato chips n cakes r showing good growth but candies fr kheesan r having stagnant sales.

Better switch fr kheesan to lonbisc. Double the eps but same price.

For this coming Feb results derivative gain is based on 4.29 per usd the rate on 31 dec. For the may results we hv to wait for the end of march xch rate. Lets hope the RM appreciates but not too much. Weak RM good for xports com.

HDD business is good. Lets do some history. 20 years back hdd price drops like half every 6 months. But pc sales were good then. So hdd was very lucrative. Later came the solid state drive SSD which caused a scare among hdd because they were much compact n faster. Fortunately SSD price was and still very expensive. Then came the smartphone n pc sales dived causing the hdd sales to fall accordingly. Last few years with the advent of cloud computing , enterprises uses tremendous of storage. Only hdd r capable of supplying them with vast amount of space at low cost. Google r trying to incorporate the use of ssd because of the need for speed but the amount of ssd used are limited by cost. So presently hdd prospect is still good. Thats why we saw a post stating that a 500G hdd price has actually gone up. Something we hv never seen i the past. As for me I am slowly picking up notion. If it goes up good. If it doesnt its also good for my pension fund.

We shd not talk big after making a few cents. One downturn will wipe everything off.

If one were to look at co with beautiful figures it wd not b selling at 40+sen. Inari is very nice but it is selling at about rm3. Wh is the chance it can go to rm6? Wh is the chance notion can go to 80 sen?

Turnaround stories requires a sharp eye , guts , extremely contrarion n most of all tremendous amount of patience. Fr your posting Val-Elta seems to have most of these qualities.

JCY just released its quarterly result. Earnings increased 30% mainly the result of the strong USD. Declared 1.25c dividend. Can we expect similar showing in Notion?

Definitely not similar to the situation in 97. Probably may buy in more. Looks like worth the gamble. Like u say at this price upside much more than downside.

Is it good to collect while others are throwing away or cut loss as you say.? After all weak RM should benefit Notion inspite of all the fear. Eventually even fear have to bottom out.
