Latest update. Another 16M shares left for disposal before reaching the minimum 15.1% for EPF. That means EPF SHOULD STOP DISPOSING SOON (by this week).

Keeping the share price low before dividend announcement is to pbb advantage. The % looks more attractive. Same 10sen dividend per share has different % of return at RM4. 22 and RM4. 50. Just an example.

EPF has stopped disposing mbb and cimb. It seems that EPF is still selling pbb. Hope that it stops soon. It should as it will not hold less than 15.1%of pbb share.

@supersinginvestor It was my agent advising me NOT TO SUGGEST pbb be no. 1. It will backfire on pbb. You are the one keep exposing pbb to unnecessary threat. My money is in pbb why would I want anything bad happens to it? Whichever company is no 1 so be it lah..Does it make you lose one hair? As long as pbb is performing the best and we make profits and prosper.. we should be glad.

Maybank has more dividend payout than pbb. Pbb has more share value appreciation. I am glad that I own BOTH.

Maybank has government backing. That's why it's advisable to keep both maybank and public bank, if one's financial status permits.

I bought Maybank. My portfolio in both mbb and pbb is the same. But pbb forum is more interesting with interactions. Maybank forum is very quiet.

@Alan Teh Last year at 3.58%. But the share price appreciation is very attractive too. So you can enjoy double profits.

EPF still holds 15.43% share. Already down from 15.92% in December 2020. That's a substantial amount of shares disposed in just less than 2 months. Smart investors should have collected substantially by now because they should stop disposing very soon.
