I remember somebody ever asked me if I had a target price for this counter.

My reply was, "Frankly, I do not like to set a target price for any counter. A lot will depend on a number of variables. To be realistic, the first hurdle is for it to break the recent barrier of 46 sen...."

Look at other forums where very high target prices were quoted, eg glove counters, what happens now? Some investors/newbies get trapped at least for now.

Do our own analysis. Do not simply take target prices set by others as a buy/sell signal. Mkt operators like to use their runners(could be among us) to shout high target prices to push up share prices.

Closed at 41.5 sen, ranked no.14 most active.

It touched a high of 45.5 sen, before making a U-turn lower. Overall, market sentiments were not good, impacted in part by fairly steep drops in glove counters and some speculatives. KLCI continued to drift down 1.06 pts at closing and Dow futures dropped 200 points in the afternoon.

In the last few days, trading vols were low, mkt operator could be seen accumulating shares. However, when the operator started to open up trading vol like today, mkt operator would be distributing his cheaper shares to punters/traders as well.

Got to see how it goes next week after the operator studies the trading stats for today and plans the next course of action.

This morning, KLCI closed unchanged. But this counter shot up to the top 20 most actives, spurred by the asset disposal news.

It's fundamentally interesting. Let's see if it can break the recent high of 46 sen today.

KLCI was down 13.43 points. But this counter closed unchanged at 39 sen.

Trading vols in the past few days were low. Selling was mainly absorbed between 38.5 and 39 sen. My 38 sen buy queue was left unfilled.

Dow dropped more than expected last night. Let's see how the mkt will react today...

It looked quite promising until Dow futures were down 200+ points in the afternoon and many counters took a dive down, including glove counters too.

Nowadays, glove counters are not immune to the broader mkt weakness as well.

I thought mkt operator would churn it down to 38 sen for me to pick up some shares. But mkt operator put a price floor at 39.5 sen today.

EngineeringProfit, for every buy and sell queue, not all vols are real. Only mkt operator can tell the actual vols....

If you look at the trading patterns of super-active counters like Prestariang or glove counters, you will understand what I mean..

This is probably the 2nd highest close price in recent history, below recent high of 46 sen, ahead of a weekend. Majority of the vol was traded between 39.5 sen and 42.5 sen.

Market sentiments were lifted by a rebound in glove counters. Got to see how it goes next week...

NoPainNoGain, I was thinking like you when I was a newbie. Market operator needs to use the buy and sell queues to confuse traders/investors.

If the operator decides to play up the share price, any sell queues can be cleared in a minute or less.

The mkt operator might have read our postings and understood our buy-low strategy. He tried to keep the trading vol low in the past few days to keep punters/traders away during accumulation.

To evaluate if a stock is overpriced after the recent price rally? One way is to look at Bursa filings on major shareholders' changes in share holdings.

So far, the major shareholders did not sell a single share recently even when its share price moved up above 40 sen.

Share price can be volatile(over or under-priced) in the short term. But it will move towards its fair value in the longer term.

Yes. Queued at 38 sen...not done. Anyway, it is moving up along the 20 days moving average line...

Closed at 39 sen, dragged down by a 21.41 points drop of the KLCI index. It recorded one of the lowest trading vols today in recent history. Market operator was seen stacking up buy queues at 39 sen. No chance to buy at a lower price today...

Closed at 40.5 sen. But trading vol is not big enough to be conclusive. Hopefully, the operator will move up the price slowly each day in such small vols, then it will be easier to break the 46 sen high...

This morning, a lot of counters are down. But this counter is still holding at 38.5 sen.....

Like KLCI today, I just checked that KUB's upsloping 50 days moving average line has just touched its 200 days moving average line, a bullish indicator, if accompanied with good trading vol.

Let's see how it fares tomorrow..

Looks like the mystery is already unravelled by today's market actions. All thanks to the glove counter operators of Bursa. The same can be deduced for KUB Malaysia too for the "churning down" actions yesterday..

Yesterday, Bursa was down 47 points as market was worried of another selloff of about 900 points in Dow. But Dow recovered from a low and turned positive instead after Fed stepped in again. So, we can expect a good rebound today...

Mkt is weak today. KLCI is down 29 pts. Most counters are down. So, this counter remains in a consolidation mode this morning, being T+2 as well.

Mkt is still volatile. There is really nothing to shout about yet. I just watch the mkt operator in "churning" mode, to meet his KPI for today.

Operators love to use volatile times to shake out weak and contra holders, even glove counters are no exception today...

Closed at 38.5 sen, near its day's high of 39 sen, ahead of a weekend. A hammer candlestick formation, with a smaller trading vol though, to absorb some contra selling pressure from yesterday's huge trades.

Compared to most glove counters forums, this forum is relatively deserted, with a much lower viewership. So, there is no surprise this counter can remain under-valued, if there is a lack of publicity channels to promote its intrinsic value, like most investment banks/analysts do for other counters, with their target prices.

Share price is a reflection of mkt forces(ie mkt demand and supply). When more investors get to appreciate its discounted intrinsic value, we can expect a higher share price.

Meanwhile, it offers us a great opportunity to collect cheap, like the operator does.

In a volatile market, do not try to time the market. We need to space out our purchases in batches to take advantage of dollar cost averaging...

There seems to be some contra selling pressure from yesterday...

If you buy now, you must have holding power. Not for contra trades..

In a volatile mkt, mkt operator likes to exploit on our fear factor to maximise his gains. Mkt is a strong interplay of forces between greed and fear.

Dow plunged last night and mkts start to get volatile again. Will reassess our mkt condition for re-entry.

In a volatile mkt, stock pick is important - always look for fundamentally strong counters that will do well when mkt finally recovers in the next bull cycle...

Closed at 39.5 sen on general weakness of the regional markets, factoring in an expected drop in Dow of 600+ points tonight. Hope to collect at my target re-entry point of 38 sen tomorrow on weakness and to average down more at much lower prices.
