The yeohs been buying daily and the company itself have billions of cash to do shares buyback so can expect they want to make share price returning to where it was before GE14. This is evident if u been observing how they keep pushing up share price and buying every single day and announcing every morning through bursa website.

The HSR, between Malaysia and Singapore, is to run on a completely new alignment and travels at speed of 320km per hour.

The alternative plan is to upgrade the existing railway tracks by using most of the railway alignments. The travelling speed with standard gauge trains is about 200km per hour.

Sources said that upgrading the existing infrastructure would be cheaper compared with the suggestion by some quarters to extend the Express Rail Link (ERL) from the KL International Airport (KLIA) to Singapore, a venture that could potentially cost at least RM30bil.

“The suggested ERL extension plan would involve a completely new alignment from KLIA and there is not much of a difference in travelling time compared with the plan to upgrade the existing infrastructure,” said a source.

The ERL is operated jointly by YTL Group and Lembaga Tabung Haji. It is a line currently servicing the Kuala Lumpur Sentral to KLIA route via stations in Bandar Tasik Selatan and Cyberjaya. ERL has said that it is prepared to extend the line to Melaka if the government approves the plan.

“The advantage for the ERL is that there is an existing station that can be upgraded to incorporate an immigration clearance check post,” said a source.

That is why rail project isn't scrapped as mentioned by PM Mahathir. It could be possible that Ytl could still be the PDP while the rail contract is an added bonus to its already 70% steady earnings from abroad

Trump criticizes OPEC again for high oil prices; 'Not good!'

"Oil prices are too high, OPEC is at it again. Not good!" President Trump tweets.

Oil prices have fallen recently on reports the Trump administration asked top OPEC producer Saudi Arabia to pump more to offset U.S. sanctions on Iran.

U.S. crude oil futures are down more than 9 percent from a 3½-year high over the last three weeks, pressured by expectations OPEC will hike output at a meeting next week.

Most likely the quarter result will be disappointing one. With such huge debts on hand, it must be hard and heavy for shareholders to bail out the company over time. A time bomb waiting to explode.

If u don't already know, YTL is still very profitable with strong cashflow each quarter even without the rail projects. What is more important is that it has the financial muscle to take up next big project with strong cash reserve backing of 12 billions. That is $3 billion dollars of cash reserve while still earning RM 500++ millions net profit annually. Do some math. This is buying time for us.

Most here just got into Sap because they think there is a big reversal in the O&G industry since oil price has risen to $65. Is the oil price trend sustainable moving forward? U got to look into a company's balance sheet to see whether it's healthy. Still Sap doesn't earn a profit but incurring huge losses in billions so there is no logic at all that it can repay its long term debts.

Stock

rlch, Sap has massive debts and that is known fact. Sap does not even earn a profit each quarter but incur huge losses into BILLIONS. How do u think Sap can settle the debts in the long run while its business nature relies highly on the volatile oil price? If oil price gone kaput so does Sap's businesses. Is this not a logical argument?

With 12 billion of cash on hand mainly in bank FD earning interest, and net profit 130 million averagely per quarter netting a 520 million net profit annually. They can launch takeover or privatizing subsidiaries easily from it cash reserve perspective.

Even oil price at current level, Sap is still making huge losses in billions. How do u comprehend on that? When u make losses and having huge debts, it rolls bigger. I talk logic unless u are illogical?

Stock

B4b4, Sap's assets are valued based on oil price. If crude oil being volatile and drop lower while its assets with oil reserve are depleting year after year, asset value will depreciate lahh

If coming quarter still making losses, can declare Sap close to bankrupt? Even PH govt wants to trim down debts of the country. Sap still gambling with oil business? Trump and Kim making peace, how high do u think oil price will be sustainable? Will be limited lahh so how does Sap make enough money to payback its debts (if it ever profitable)? Check facts first before u shoot.
