Matrix isn't a net cash company anymore bro.. cash 65mil, interest-bearing borrowing 226mil. It is just borrowing money to pay your pocket dividends.

hi pingdan, at some point, you are right, it didn't show any growth prospect from its revenue. However, bear in mind that a bad is not necessary a good investment and vice versa. It all depends on the price you pay. At this current price, it seems to be cheap for me, using the simple metrics.

Thanks kcchongnz, i'm always a fan of ur writings.

Hi king36, I'm not calculating any intrinsic value.
I'm using the ColdEYE 5 parameters, it was like a ruler to measure a stock, once 5 parameters passed all, it will looks attractive to me.

using the metrics above,
PE = market valuation / trailing earnings or Price per Share/EPS
ROE = trailing earnings / total equity or EPS/NTA
NTA = Total equity / total outstanding shares
DY = Total dividends per share / Price per share * 100%

further explaination of Coldeye 5 yardsticks can refer to here

Can't agree more that putting money temporary in FD in a short period, preparing for crisis or opportunity, at the same time enjoying the little interest, would be other good option. U guys did make sound points above. Most cash rich company did that too.

For TTB case, sitting 67% on cash, while waiting for a big crisis, really need more patience than usual. However, in investing, "wall Street makes money on activity. You make money on inactivity." - Warren Buffett. Everyone has his own style of investing, but definitely no one will invest FD over a long term.

Coldeye was suggesting to put money in bank amount of 6-month expenses. Then you can start investing other money.

34% growth rate is unrealistic..At current price, ppl are actually buying it for future earnings. risky and not under valued.
