hi pradeep....i m much in the dark as most of us are, only able to watch and track the daily movements, technical charting also dono much.....movement looks good like today. i am not selling any yet as it is a good well-managed company worth hanging on to.

The stock looks like "under control" and already in some tight hands able to dictate the movement. Small timers just have to be patient and ride with the swings. For today's opening July 10, price from 2.18 at last done at 9.01 am can move to 2.20, booking up sellers that appeared.
Be patient for good news one following the other...??

Re Investments of Surplus Funds of Pintaras Jaya. I have expressed concern back in the year 2007 to the SC and personally also written to the MD of the Company that as a shareholder I would prefer to receive bigger dividends so I can invest in shares myself rather than depending on the Fund Managers to do that for me. .......
http://www.thestar.com.my/story.aspx/?file=%2f2007%2f7%2f23%2fbusiness%2f18371633&sec=business
Since then, I must say that the Company did take heed and improved their dividend payouts at the same time still prefer to continue with their investments in Equities, so it is a happy compromise.
Pintaras Jaya is a well-managed Company run by Professional Engineers who are experienced and knowledgeable in Piling.

isn't it time that Kobay catches up with it's peer Wong whose profit performance and Balance Sheet is less superior to Kobay?

I see it as more than just the dividend...it is a gem!

Yes...stockraider, agree with your sound advice. Go to AGM, if cannot at least write to them officially to table your suggestions for discussion at the AGM, instead of only venting out our frustrations in this Forum. I have done that on one issue > that they fix a policy to set aside a more generous % of the profits towards dividend payout.

Company just announced excellent 3rd Qtr financial result and price gained, at break of lunch time, 22%....looks like will have to include this stock on the radar screen.

ref to my reply HanSolo "alamak, why went down again?" >>> I replied... "drop buy some more ma!" . I am unable to track that posting.
I shall be specific here to say that the drop level is now around 2.03....which is well supported and looks like a good entry level.

To "stockoperator"...fear and greed are the two inherent characteristics in all human beings and when it comes to the stock markets, it depends on the individual how "to each his own" handles the situation. It looks like you are more of an investor than a trader. Keck Seng to me is not a trader's delight as it prefers to coast along at its own pace, quietly making money and hoarding it and not caring a damn how the minority shareholders feel. The least we can do is to attend the AGM and voice our displeasures and put forward constructive proposals as we have vented in this Forum. Alternatively, let us give our proxies to the Minority Shareholders Watch Group and request if they are prepared to raise our displeasure at the AGM on our behalf on why the Company are giving us such miserable returns in dividends.

Comments noted > Thanks...That's a good return on investment by any standard. Just wait patiently for the next move when this Company will re-structure it's business into two separate entities. It is an abnormally to continue listing it under "Industrial Products", which is not it's core business.

Let us look back 10 years ago for those who have invested in Keck Seng in 2003. Is 10 times capital gain in price a good return in this case?

Better still if the Company will announce a policy of what percentage of it's annual net profit it will declare as dividends. Is it asking too much to get the Company committed to this undertaking?

re "privatizing" as suggested by "ykloh" April 23..>>>>No!...we minority shareholders will lose out! ASAS DUNIA and YHS are examples for me. Keck Seng might very well have that plan in mind, so what steps can we take to get a fair value of our investment in Keck Seng should BOD decides to privatize? Not surprising if that is the ulterior motive of the BOD to eventually privatize the Company, their strategy is to "suppress" the quoted share value with such pittance dividends.

For Keck Seng to retest 8.00, it has to be more than that peanut 6-8 sen dividend.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_f5NbPOOGE

At last...showing some life in anticipation for it's year end account. It is a stock that will reward patient holders and I classify it as one of the growth stocks and have included it in my portfolio.

It just made to the top 12 "gainers" this morning at close of trading> April l3-2014...at RM7.05, volume too small at 221 lots only. Be patient but hopeful.

sure, buy and keep, not a stock buy today and sell tomorrow in speculative play. it shall reward those who have the patience to hold. note that this company also experience in water treatment and supply, a plus hidden asset!

prudentinvestor...tq for you comments. I am still hanging on to the last glimmer of hope that the "tax credit" has not been forfeited till after this year-end account to Dec 31-2013 has been audited and compiled and can be announced and paid when the annual report is released anytime now.

Yes...money is not everything, making "quick money" is not for a stock like Keck Seng. Have faith, slow and steady, this stock "will work for you". You wont make fast bucks but you will live longer with less stress. I am now hoping for that bumper special dividend, after buying and holding. If it comes, well and good. If not...?? You think the Directors would be so mean to forfeit that "tax credit"?
2014-03-21 13:35 | Report Abuse
From what I understand, any Tax Credit accumulated to Year-End Dec., 2013 in the Accounts, must be paid out, or get forfeited. Please correct me if this info is wrong. Thanks.

have not given up this stock yet...this time round most of us expect that special bumper dividend to be declared out of the "tax credit" that was reported in Nanyang...so we wait patiently for this year-end special dividend announcement, if none, the share price will gradually drift back down.

Keck Seng should not be listed under "Industrial Products". Look forward to its "restructuring" exercise to hive off it Plantation Division so that it will be listed under that category on its own.
2014-03-06 09:40 | Report Abuse
Hope upon hope for price appreciation only if bumper dividend declared from the recent excellent Y.E. results, otherwise it's price will languish.

why is Keck Seng classified under "Industrial Products". It is about time the Company be re-structured into two separate entities namely > "Property" and "Plantation"

As I have limited funds to turn around, I have decided to sell off half this stock (with good profit) to to plough into Keck Seng, now that it has rebounded strongly, expecting a bumper year end result to be announced in March 2014. The price for TGuan now is discounted and the price is likely to remain in this narrow range.
