@mita29 The more we vaccinate, the less infection rate. These two are inverse of each other. Herd immunity is 70-80%.those that have recovered technically have antibodies and could be lower priority. Depends on the strategy of health ministry, it will have different recovery period. If they follow UK strategy, give more people the first jab first and maintain SOPs, we are likely to see the infection numbers drop drastically. There is also no evidence to suggest vaccine is less effective against mutation.

@Tobby Vaccine news is the best I think. We know that people will have protection now, with a chance to get closer to norm in the mid term. Go watch Dr John Campbell provide updates on Covid and vaccines. It's believed vaccines will be effective for very long. He only quoted 8 months because that is the data he has thus far since vaccination started for trials. This period will increase when they test and find antibodies still at healthy levels for individual in trial.
