okay all sifus here, tell me hsif 'what's the story now' ??? on daily, she has reached a very congested area ie a zone whereby :-
1) reversal traders who shorted earlier start to take partial profit cuz this shud be their 1st take-profit-level
2) traders go short now cuz they think range support is broken
3) traders go long now cuz they think the slightly below range support dip is a fakeout
so, in view of above, we see tug-of-war now !!! wud u advise to stay side-line now till the congested area is taken out ??? wud u advise to short now ??? wud u advise to long now in view of retest of trendline ... dynamic resistance etc etc ???

gem, in the share market u may listen to the views of others but u must only follow yourself .. always take note there are many types of traders with different approaches to the game (thus conflicting / clashing ideas) .. there is no right no wrong depending which approach suits u ! am following two groups of PT (to learn how they play) and each has his own unique way to trade but both are doing darn well :)

rchi ... may not hold but anticipate some reaction at that level and hopefully can get better price mah !!! the big boys can be bad at times .. they will let the price dip some ticks lower than previous swing low and this is when retailers start shorting ... then price will be rejected immediately and goes up thus squeezing out all the retailers cuz their stop loss will be hit ... finally price dips deeper !!! nice story ??? LOL

woahhhhhhhhh ... what just happened to HSI on the short-term chart ?? LOL !! this is what the PT (professional traders) call the squeeze-n-spike effect to take out all the amateur retail players when the price moved up and broke the previous swing high but got rejected immediately thereafter :) this is how they study smart money / big boys play their game !! hmmmm interesting ...

oops ... HTF = higher time frame and LTF = lower time frame

hi evel, LOL i need a mentor too and u follow me ??? for multi-timeframe analysis, this is what i do :-
A) HTF (daily .. weekly) for trading set-up
a) is price near a major support/resistance level (SR)
b) is price near a fibo level (FL)
c) is price near a major trendline (TL)
d) is there a chart pattern
e) high probability set-up if can get confluence of above

B) LTF for trade entry
once price has reached that SR/FL/TL on HTF chart, switch to LTF chart to check price action for further confirmation eg for break of market structure etc ..
** if your LTF is 1H, u must wait for the one-hour candle to close to decide **

i don't subscribe to the idea that i have to study 1001 types of data / factors (pull .. push .. mm buy-n-sell and what-nots) ... i don't care if some say charts are manipulated (in fact everything can be twisted be it chart or accounting figures or news in the media) ... one can take into consideration ALL variables but there is simply no holy grail trading method that gives 100% win rate ... we just need to plan our trades based on our trading rules and then manage the trade accordingly ie take profit when target is met .. cut loss when trade does not go our way .. once a trade is planned, DO NOT let anyone influence our decision ! everyone has his / her expertish views but always remember IT'S YOUR MONEY ... YOUR ACCOUNTABILITY ... YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

hello evel .. am sure u are able to find a good mentor !!! spend more time to look for him / her ... before u do that ask yourself 'what type of trading suits me' cuz there are 1001 trading strategies ... then search high n low for a mentor who excels at the trading strategy that u are in favor of !!! there are some who post their weekly pick and after that analyse the result of each of their picks :) it's amazing to see how disciplined and consistent their trading approaches are .. they do the same thing again and again every day !!

oh man hawk .. if i did not clear hsif i wud have been stopped out also cuz price went above 20sma before another 3 bearish candles (doji sandwiched in between two big red candles) on m60 unless i fixed my SL a few ticks above the high (23919) of the candle on 10/7/16 9:00 !!! anyways it's not safe to hold due to (1) tgif (2) nfp report ...

wah hawk .. u asked to buy masteel on 28/9 and u sold on the same day without informing :(:(:(:( don't want fren u for ONE day :):):):)

same principle as i monitor your masteel .. did not chase yesterday cuz i want to see how the price reacts once she touches 20ma on 1H !!! was expecting her to close way above and then retest the 20ma before heading north again ... futile attempt ... barely hovering around 20sma and reversing today ... will monitor again if previous swing low manages to hold or not !! are u still holding this counter for your impulsive wave ?? thanks

hawk .. longer term trend all still healthy (ie my filter is 20sma .. so long as price is above this can't say the trend is going to reverse on daily) ... as u said, once the flag formation is done, the underlying trend shall continue :) however, on 1H there was a great short-term reversal play set-up !! a bb spike that got rejected immediately and the bears seem stronger after this rejection .. as the downward spiral is pretty strong now, i can see that 10ma is resisting the upward movement .. so long as she can't get pass 20sma on 1H, there may be further adjustment .. we may even get a H&S pattern on 1H if 20sma manages to barricade ! so, let's have popcorn and watch the show :):)

oh hawk .. i am not doubting your expected uptrend !! i was just playing the reversal trade on 1H chart :)

btw hawk, price action is much easier than waves methodology !! there is no ambiguity reading price actions ... the rules are much simpler to follow :):)
