他指当大马橡胶业面对低价时，手套业却成了救市的领域，他预计手套业增长在疫情下增加5至25%。

橡胶价从过去每公斤3令吉下跌至去年每公斤1令吉70仙，这也导致割胶工人及小园主面对困境。

• 每年增长6%

再罗沙尼说，以往很多人认为橡胶业是“夕阳行业”，不管上下游工业都会沉没，但无法想到的是，橡胶出口量却逐年增加。

再罗沙尼说，从1990年至今，橡胶业每年增长处于5至6%，更是国内迅速增长的行业之一。

“若以它对国家经济分额的角度来看，我国1990年的橡胶出口额为13亿令吉，现今已取得310亿令吉。”

他提到，大马只掌握全球橡胶业价值的3%，但我国橡胶业有望持续增长：“所以本地小园主不应再使用20或30年前的橡胶生产方式，我国需确保橡胶业有一套完善策略。”

他指由于大部分小园主的橡胶园占地不大，他们受促通过科技提高产量。
