（巴生11日讯）西港控股（WPRTS，5246，主板贸服股）放眼通过并购，将版图拓展至东南亚。

根据彭博社，西港控股总执行长鲁本，在巴生总部受访时表示，在贸易和货柜吞吐量快速增长，本区域市场可为公司捎来更多机会。

上周，西港控股证实，有意参与竞标斯里兰卡科伦坡港口东部货柜码头（East Container Terminal）的项目。

巴生港是我国七个港口内，规模最大的港口，2015年共处理了1190万个20尺标准货柜，比斯里兰卡科伦坡港口的510万个20尺标准货柜多出一倍。

他说，斯里兰卡科伦坡港口是南亚最大的原始运输枢纽，且一直稳定增长。

拟拨10亿

“以集装箱运输贸易而言，印度并没有全面发挥该港口的潜能。而运到印度的数量，对该国的面积来说，实属太少。”

他说，要拨出10亿令吉来完成收购，对西港控股来说，并不是问题，因为该公司现有0.47倍的负债率，还有很大的空间为收购融资。

不过，鲁本不愿进一步透露详情，仅说，兑换率风险是个主要因素。

不担忧流失客户

今年迄今，西港控股的股价已挫8.8%，是富时隆综指（KLCI）内，表现第二糟的股项。这是因为，市场担忧全球运输联盟的重组，会影响其在今年下半年的增长。

丰隆投行分析员认为，西港控股可能会因为全球第三大运输公司和一名主要客户，将部分货柜量转运新加坡，而面临货柜量滑落的窘境。

然而对此，鲁本并不太过担忧。

“我们只需要知道如何去帮助我们的客户度过这个时期，并找出对他们最好的方案。”

今年，西港控股计划投资8亿令吉，将年度容量提升约20%，至1400万个20尺标准货柜。

该公司在去年录得995万个20尺标准货柜后，今年瞄准1000万个的目标。

另外，由于扩展产能可得到政府税务补贴，因此，西港控股的净利也有望攀扬。

闭市时，西港控股以3.9令吉挂收，跌2仙或0.51%，成交量有275万6900股。
