On the contrary, the ICPT is expected to be reduced in July due to lower coal and natural gas prices. I hope that should ease the bloated receivables from govt which will increase the cashflow and thus, a better Div payout.

The ability to pay dividends for the last 3 years have to take in to account on the MCO lockdown which caused them to pause operations for a long time. There's already a recovery on the payout since last year. Only thing is whether when are they gonna fully recover to its pre-pandemic levels. IMHO.

"As announced to Bursa Malaysia on 1 July 2022, the Government continues to uphold the ICPT
mechanism for the next six months from 1 July until 31 December 2022.
To keep the tariff and the surcharge at 3.7 sen/kWh for non-domestic customers and the rebate of
2 sen/kWh for domestic customer unchanged, the Government has agreed to fund the rebate and
surcharge totalling RM5.8 billion. The receivable from the Government and continued hike in the
fuel prices have resulted in TNB carrying higher receivable balances and higher borrowings balances
in this quarter. TNB is in discussions with the Government on the timing of the full recovery of the
RM5.8 billion. The Government will also guarantee TNB’s financing of up to RM6.0 billion to fund
the additional generation cost."
