my opinion - on their diversification to venture into the aerospace and clothing retail industries.

This could be temporary while they find a successful breakthrough on the O&G biz. I am sure the mgmt must have done their due diligence and risk assessment - if the ventures proven to be successful then it is a bonus to the company otherwise it will provide some alternative revenues to the company to keep the company afloat.

Sometime ago, I remembered someone told me this and I found it very creative and that person deserved complimentary.

He was assigned to a country to start up a new venture. Things weren't moving smoothly and as fast as one wanted. Hence, during the difficult times, he decided to sell bicycles. Totally unrelated but helped the company to pay off staff salary and etc. The company survived and made a breakthrough eventually what they were setup for. The bicycle story became a legacy for the company!
