Ok. If that's the case, why MAS has not taken the case to the government? If MAS can't cut the operation cost, can they trim down the overtaff, increase the productivity and efficiency. Don't forget that AirAsia is managed privately and if they are not competitive, cost efficient they are 'gone' long time ago. They can't rely on that 'Subsidy' mentality.
In actual fact, I find that MAS airticket pricing is competitive to other international airlines, on board services are good. Why MAS is losing money and has to be rescued a few times?

Agree with Jake totally. How many times the BN government has used our hard earned money to rescue the poor managed MAS. It's best to close down the company and let AirAsia to run.

Tony, please show MAS and the cronies how to manage an airline!!!

I agree totally with audiTTS's view!!!

The company is badly managed, overstaff and uncompetitive. I don't see how it can survive in this highly competitive industry. The best solution is to close the company. Never invest in this 'dead' stk. It is best to let the prudent AirAsia to grow and compete with other airlines!!!

Yes, I agree. However, why BN keep on winning the GE. We should let and convince our beloved Malays to change their minds in the coming GE13 for the betterment of Malaysia and future generations. Otherwise same old thing will occur again!!!

It's for serious, long term investors. Short term players or speculators are not interested in this type of counter. Thus it is normally not reported. This explain why this counter is too low profile.

Another clear example that minority shareholders/retailers are not taken care! Malaysia boleh!!!

Yes, I can understand his frustration as I believe he is a short term player. How many KLSE listed companies really take care of minority shareholders? I can say is very, very few. It is part of the game that retailed investors have to face when investing. If u think that your invested counters are not up to your mark, just sell and look for other counters. Please don't be emotional attached to it.FYI, I don't have any particular 'darling counters'. I review my holding stks quarterly. Sell them if they don't meet my expection!

Yes, I will hold on as long as ytl can achieve above average growth and provided no abrupt changes to their business. I am not sure everyone can make big buck from other counters during this time of mart. I just give my view from my 20+ years with this stk.

U should go for other 'exciting' stks and YTL is not suitable for u. I have been holding this stk for more than 20 years, I am getting a very decent return (capital+divindend)ie more than 10% compounded annually! How many stks in KLSE can give u that type of return consistently over a long run.

YTL is for long term players. U should go for other 'exciting' stks if u expect to gain profit in short terms! Ultimately the business performance will refect on the share prix in a longer term ie 10 years or more.

It depends on what type of IPO shares being offered. So far, they are 'kucing kurup' types and do not add value to the Bursa!!!

It's a very passive type of investment! Better put all in the FD, no risk.

Yes, you are right. However, you must buy rationally based on fundamental factors. Or else you be 'bbqed'.

He is right. Don't follow your friends' recommendation. Do your own home work. Have your own criteria of selecting the winning stocks.
