Rayloo PE is over trailing past results. If forward results of earning doubled the PE will drop to half.

Be fearful when others are fearless and be fearless when others are fearful! I did not believe for once the PH government will retender the underground, more a psyche posturing to get a discount and lesser price. If retender process there is a strong possibility there maybe no interested tenderers and it may not be necessary cheaper. Imagine the embarrassment to PH government if that happens. Also for temporary boring machines they will be no such thing as a reverse gear as tunnel boring machines only can move forward. To retender a project at 40% completion will be suicidal for both PH and MMC-Gamuda so the way they come to an agreement augers well for both parties after the impasse. One got to gloat to the Rakyat how much they have save and the others doing par to f the national service. Gamuda is very reliant on government projects so it will be silly for them to kill the golden goose.

Gamuda is one of the hard nose and good contractor and world class in boring with no equal in Malaysia. The quality of the Smart Tunnel and KVMRT1 speak volume of their delivery prowess as these were difficult work under difficult ground conditions. A lot of the discount for the KVMRT2 underground came from omissions like the removal of stations and changes to the design/specification. Effectively it is not the straight discount but more to do with omissions which will not affect much of their profitability.

Hopefully Monday I can collect some pocket money as I hv betted on reinstatement!

Silly to call for a retender when the underground work is already so advanced and the team and machinery are already in full operation. How do you stop and ramp the work down? It is messy and a very complicated time for mega infrastructure work. I do wonder whether LGE knows what he is getting himself into? There will be a lot of claims and counter claims and it does not auger well for the construction industry and a lot of engineers will be struggling for work. There are temporary boring machines (TBM) already boring underground and there is no way to reverse exit the TBMs or stop the work underground. Gamuda is the only local construction companies that have TBMs and the rest of the local contractors are not in the same league for underground work. It could be a sabre rattling exercise or a posturing negotiation exercise to get the price down or the government is trying to delay spending the money to balance the coffer. Who knows... but be prepared for the worst since the underground package is a hefty revenue and forward workload for MMC-Gamuda so both counters will surely be affected.

I have got out two weeks back and not holding any CIMB anymore.

AdCool ...you forgot to mention cross default of 1MDB which may cause significant bail-up by the Government and also the Chairman of CIMB is under internal investigation and being Chairman cum distributor of political fund is not going to auger well with foreign investors who value transparency and integrity.

The intro to the article listing TG as the highest risk which is followed up later by the statement impact is minimal due to pass through seems ironical and confusing.

I decided to let off all CIMB shares. A bank chairman whose defence is to plead ignorance does not bode well with foreign investors who would like to see accountability and transparency. If it is a class act he should put his money where his mouth is and the honorable thing to do is to resign and apologise for his oversight, He has no business involving in politics and using his account for political fund transfer. If ignorance can become a defence all governance will break loose. He would have got my respect if he has admitted earlier before the newspaper highlighted it. He only decided to come cleaner once his game was exposed. I will keep CIMB away from my portfolio for a while until I am more convinced with their governance.

It is starting to fly. There are too much hung up on TG share value on its reliance on the exchange rate and the "big picture". Investors need to look at its fundamental and also read the analyst reports. The projection on TPs are already based on assumption of USD/MYR at 3.8. I can only see more uptrend from here since the foreign funds are coming in a big way and they will go and pick on companies with strong fundamentals.

Read the latest analyst reviews, TPs from most analysts for FY 2016-17 were already based on assumption of RM at 3.80 = 1USD which simply means the counter is oversold.

The One..,I keep averaging down and now running out of bullet so the only consolation for me is to humour myself on long term investment. Market is fluid and very reactive and fundamentals are not quite considered. So,there is no right and no wrong. If one can make money on the short term based on the big fluctuations then go for it. I am too sentimental with my shares especially the one when I worked up to have good fundamental.

I am sitting on paper loss like my CIMB previously. Now my CIMB smiling and hopefully my Top Glove too. My point is good stocks with good fundamental will appreciate over time for longer term investors so hang in there and avoid the short term noises.

Junichiro ...interesting observation. Will need to see the announcement of major shares changing hand to see who have been buying and selling in big volume. Overall the banking shares have been having a good run even CIMB which has been under performing for a while.

Junichiro...My view is there are strong buying at the moment and the reluctance of sellers to sell it at a cheaper price hence your observation of the narrow band. Foreign funds are buying in and the local institutions are offloading them hence the larger volumes

I believe EPF is doing a bit of national service to hold the stock (hence the price) when the foreign players were giving the country a miss. Now that the emerging economy is on their radar again and with the oversold ringgit, the foreign funds are starting to buy in. If they are external buyers, EPF would want to downsize their local portfolio at a profit and probably will be moving some of their fund around to overseas counters or other form of investment instead of putting all their eggs in the local market. I think they are over represented in our local bourse so good to offload and get some foreign liquidity into our local bourse.
