Yeah I agree with most of it but then for dividend, the fat and yummy ones to date are from proceeds from sales of assets. Once that dries up, we might not be getting dividends as frequent as the past two years. Even if he issues it every quarter, it MIGHT, might lah be about 3-5 sen per quarter, depending on profitability.

That said, it might be a few years more, maybe beyond 2020 before construction starts. And a few more years until completion. So it's a long term play if one is to rely on this.

As for Johotin, sorry ya. Tin side is a minor business now. The name is misleading. It's milk powder and dairy business are the growth driver.
Okay no more other counters d. Let's continue with Genting

Bidding submission not yet started. Maybe a few more months. Genting is pumping lots of money into lobbying.
Won't be so fast. Most probably gonna hear more mid or end of the year. There are three locations -- Hokkaido, Yokohama and one more I cannot recall (maybe Osaka or Kyoto). I believe Genting is gunning for two.

But then, if the company keeps issuing more shares in the millions to directors, won't the move dilute the value of our shares that retail investors are holding?
Or maybe that's why they buy back. Don't really understand whether it's newly issued ones or issued from existing shares that company holds.

Owners and directors are too rich and have holding power lol. They can even buy when price is much higher like peanuts. For us sakit lol. Still waiting for my chance to eat more. Holding more of Genting and slightly less GenM. Planning to add GenM if it goes below my average.

Genting and GenM are both not for trading. It's for long term keeping. Personally, I'm aiming for both to hit their previous high before the tumble. Genting as a whole organisation is an incredible cash machine.

Big boys manipulating is like those with huge amount of cash at disposal push it down so that small investors panic and then sell so that they can collect. Something like that. Just one of the examples.
Genting is fundamentally solid with extremely strong earnings. Don't be panic if drop down abit. Go long. I believe it will slowly creep up back to its previous price before the major drop.

When a company buys back its own shares, means there are less shares available in the market, thus low supply.
What happens when demand is higher than supply?

Was hoping to get Genting for cheaper but overextended a little bit with average of 7.1 now. Might average down if it goes down further.

Remember Tehran? It's good to add more unique routes. But then how sustainable are the returns from flying to such locations. Time will tell.
I remain pessimistic on the Lanzhou route. If you know your geography, you'll understand why. Other second-tier or third-tier cities might be better choices than one that is in Gansu, IMO.
Let's see how it goes. Hopefully, Lanzhou will ben positive. Tianjin, oth is a superb choice due to its growing economic importance, and location (proximity to Beijing).
But then, why not fly straight to Beijing instead?

Asked before. Was told that instead of dividends, the company prefer to use money for marketing to grow the brand name. And shareholders have to be patient. Slowly wait lol. One day, one day.

But in LKT we trust. He's best man to lead Genting from the family. Look at how the nephews lost the casinos given to them in Australia by LGT. Curse of the family business.
