Bon888, I think you misunderstood the email you got from Bursa. They said that PLC don't have to announce specific transactions, which is true. However, if the transaction involves a major shareholder, they have to announce. That is the law, there is no point for the company officials to risk breaking the law just to placate small traders

It seems both sides of the argument here suffer from confirmation bias. They will only accept information that confirms their belief to be true, and those that go against their belief to be false. The claim that PNB has sold its shares is quite interesting. If it is true, who bought them? 5 billion shares cannot just disappear.

They only have to announce if they are a major shareholder of the listed entity & buy/sell shares of that entity. They know which companies they are a major shareholder & which they aren't. They don't announce everything

Huang, your information is incorrect. That 5% is to determine if you are a major shareholder. If you have 5% or more, than you have to declare ALL your acquisitions or disposal of shares.
