I think we hv to be realistic in our expectation... profit already doubled woh.... what are people expecting lah? Today overall market sentiment quite negative lah... just bad timing loh.... many traders expected the price to shoot up with the q result but it didn't happen some got frustrated and sold... if DSONIC can maintain this earning power plus fuelsubs project its prospect would be very good....

EPS 1st q 1.84 and 2nd q 2.05 so to date should be 3.89 cents correct ah? Why the report says 2.95 cents??

Agree with keladi.... The fuel subsidy contract won't affect the 2nd quarter results..... IMHO the focus of 2nd quarter performance is on the delivery of 4mil Mycards between Jan to Jun 2014 although I am not sure how many were delivered in 1st and 2nd quarters respectively........ However, if I am not mistaken the rm2.50 TP by RHB has factored in the FuelSub contract... So IF DSONIC cannot get the contract I think the TP would be revised lower, BUT I still think FuelSub/ Dsonic/ TM has the best chance of getting it after this postponement.... For me, I will still maintain my approach for this counter which is to buy on weakness below rm1.85 with a little swing-trade on the side......

Ya man these are quarterly reports so usually you can expect them to be published every 3 months.... Dsonic has been quite consistent in that regard.... the last q report was published at the end of May so we can expect the next one toome out by end of Aug.... happy trading...

Eddysonic, I no expert ah but based on my amateur understanding if the 2Q profit is 27mil, the EPS would be 2 cents which means better than last Q so ya it's good enough in fact very good for me..... I could be wrong though.... Trade at own risk...

IMHO, expect revenue and profit to have a big jump compared to previous quarter.... EPS if can maintain considered very very good otherwise for me slight drop in EPS is acceptable due to share split..... Just my amateur opinion... Happy trading...

Had a quick google on CA hehe…. Kind of understand what crawler said about the risk of pushing the price down approaching due date…..

1)So CA is basically similar to WA with one major difference… the strike/conversion price. The CA strike price is the price of the mother shares but WA pays a fixed conversion price?

2) So at due date for CA, if I don't want to convert to mother shares I will only lose the cost of CA shares that I have bought just like WA?

Can any handsome/pretty kind-hearted sifus here confirm whether my understanding is correct ah hehe plsss??

Ya sad but not surprising in share trading cause anything is possible.... That's why most of my comments come with question marks no matter how sure I am hehe..... What is happening is a real "classic"....... When the price goes up (people buy) most people will keep the shares hoping it will go higher when you actually should be selling....... When the price goes down (people sell) most people will sell when you actually should be buying.... Of course there are many other considerations in trading.... These are just general rules which will also depend on what your trading style and risk appetite are.....

Conspiracy corner.... If I understood correctly it sounded like Fuelsubs "was supposed" to get the contract as the company had been deemed "the front runner" for the job..... The problem now is Fuelsubs' s close connection to UMNO (if I can even call that a problem hehe), which makes me wonder other company no connections meh hehe..... Everyone is connected to someone one lah hehe..... So will the " most suitable " company lose the contract just because of the claimed connection with UMNO? Do you think it's likely after their next meeting, they will give the contract to the "second" best choice" which will raise more questions also?? If "second" best choice gets the contract, there will be more reasons to check their connections???
