if have time, do some research on selangor water industry, c how much potential prjs value after 5 years of stalling. u will b amaze, u will realize y mb won't let go, y PM openly direct kettha to solve it by this month. 10b is kacang only, example, download latest q report fr concessionares, extract & add up how much profit can b made in 1 q, despite 30% nrw

as u can c, gamuda offer 800m more for puncak, only still lack of details for liabilities, tariff compensation, receivables. but believe for gamuda to sort this out with puncak/kettha is far more easier than khalid
2013-12-05 16:27 | Report Abuse
kps stake is the smallest, 10.7b majority will pay to puncak, do u know how much is that? or can puncak join hand with gamuda? not that simple... stay cool & watch :)

gamuda reiterate a higher bid. no details given, but definitely will not repeat state's mistake:

this is the central of the problem, asserted from cimb report:
"2) A settlement by the state, the receivables due to PNSB (water
treatment) from Syabas, given that Syabas buys treated water from PNSB
(and the other two suppliers - Splash and Abbas) before selling it to consumers.
Comments: this is also the crux of the matter, we believe, as Syabas has so far been able to pay only 40% of the total bulk supply charges as the past two tariff hikes since 2009 were not approved by the state. This had caused cashflow problems for the entire supply chain - Splash, Abbas, PNSB and Syabas. The accumulated receivables due to PNSB from Syabas stood at RM3.5bn (2012: RM1.6bn, 9M13: RM1.9bn). This roughly ties in with the total water tariff compensation claims by Syabas against the state, amounting to RM3.3bn since the past two unapproved tariff hikes since 2009."

price crawl back up nicely, good roller coaster ride in the morning? :D
2013-12-05 09:19 | Report Abuse
price wise, how kdeb respond to the matter will have great influence, every single word will be scrutinize. kettha as usual, will "buat bodoh" until confident to say something (like small kid).
piping counters too flooded today :D
2013-12-05 09:13 | Report Abuse
cimb calculation has not taken tariff compensation and receivables into consideration, it's a rather conservative report this time round. gamuda respond is not really a *reject, kps has said the same thing:
"However, the Company will continue to seek further clarifications on the matters raised in the Letter for all parties involved to reach mutually agreed terms and conditions."

never the less, this round of attempt all come to "accept in principle", not total failure like the last, it's all about pricing at the end of the day. as expected, tomorrow v should first c khalid bashing puncak & gamuda, follow by more letters to kettha. 1 week for state gov to counter offer. stay cool & watch :)
2013-12-04 23:26 | Report Abuse
not really a cut, c gamuda respond also. state gov under estimated puncak cum gamuda, even kps is aligned to gamuda.

Puncak Niaga is pursuing to recover RM2.7bn unpaid compensation and RM1.6bn receivables - cimb is correct, and that's what rozali wants. "co-incidently" add up so close to the liabilities :
2013-12-04 22:52 | Report Abuse
u haven't include the tariff compensation :D
2013-12-04 22:38 | Report Abuse
in short, rozali wants 100% nett proceeding free of liabilities, he wants 5.5b nett cash, that would amount close to $10 per share
2013-12-04 22:17 | Report Abuse
not that simple now as gamuda wants more for splash
2013-12-04 22:12 | Report Abuse
accepted with condition, quite aligned to what gamuda expressed, but less aggressive :D
2013-12-04 22:09 | Report Abuse
KPS responded same tone with gamuda :D
2013-12-04 21:58 | Report Abuse
as said b4, puncak will demand kdeb to b specific. fed gov & kettha next move will be important; apart fr state gov. this outcome is not surprising at all.
2013-12-04 21:38 | Report Abuse
simply put, both co. accepted the offer with condition. now kdeb needs to figure out if these condition r acceptable.

u got it, that's how 5.x is made up. btw, read also gamuda respond

anyone notice Khalid made a "daring" statement saying in the event the deal cannot be made by this month, fed gov will then takeover the water co. and handover to state gov to manage.
http://news.sinchew.com.my/node/336807
don't under estimate fed gov and kettha in this nego process, who had a big stake in langgat 2.
anyway, let's look forward to soon to release announcement.
2013-12-04 16:57 | Report Abuse
that happen only if reject with no further intention to nego. this possibility is lowest.

anyway, turn out to be false, last bid 3.29, 2.29-wb. personal opinion, -7c is not so bad. stay cool, wait for the announcement.

this issue goes beyond Khalid alone. it's not common for pm to mandate openly in writing for sensitive issue like this in m'sia.
http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/khalid-says-najib-open-to-selangor-water-takeover
simply put, fed/state/co. all needs the $$$ to roll. stay cool and watch!

@chelseazola, of cos Hold. acceptance is juz a matter of time. believe puncak will not reject the offer but may demand kdeb to be more specific (e.g. http://www.bursamalaysia.com/market/listed-companies/company-announcements/1471261). according to cimb report:
- Puncak Niaga is pursuing to recover RM2.7bn unpaid compensation and RM1.6bn receivables
from legal point of view, puncak does have enough legal right to pursue further (as shown in the high court case above). while MB can only argue "sin here...sin there" - that obviously doesn't help as the entire Selangor water industry is put to a halt for 5 years and still counting.

not really, 1 year ago this ctr trade only 1.2, 6 months ago 1.80. if rozali takes thing into own hand, he will make fed gov esp kettha looks real useless :)

1 thing for sure in order to move Selangor water industry (e.g. piping, L2 etc) ahead, KeTTha needs this deal to get thru. hopefully uncle max can flood market with good news after electrify us! :D :D

the challenge is, if granted say additional 3% for puncak, how about gamuda and kps? all come to around 2b gap here. state gov can get screw again... pay get screw, not pay also get screw! best go arbitrary... :D
