It seems that the speculation about the windfall tax is purposely highlighted to bring the price down. However for argument sake maybe we should look at the numbers and see how much actually it will affected the Supermx prices if it really occur although the chances of this happening is low as gloves are predominantly for the export markets and unlike the plantation sector, there is no urgent need to stabilise glove prices in the domestic market as opposed to palm oil.

Previously, the government had imposed a windfall tax on the plantation sector for about 1.5% to 3% and so let assume the highest windfall tax for glove;

IF PAT result before windfall tax is
200 million, then net profit 194 million
300 million, then net profit 291 million
400 million, then net profit 388 million

So how much TP will be affected as compare between those two numbers, before and after windfall tax? and how much it will translated into actual share price?
