Malaysia's Ekovest Aims FY Revenue To Top MYR1.1 Billion - Managing Director

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 24) -- Ekovest, a Malaysian construction and property firm, aims to grow revenue to over 1.1 billion ringgit ($280.8 million) for the financial year ending Jun. 30, backed by orders in hand and unbilled sales, its managing director said.

Outstanding construction orders currently total 13 billion ringgit and the company also has unbilled sales of 435 million ringgit, Lim Keng Cheng told Nikkei Markets. The company is also bidding for contracts worth 5 billion ringgit, he said.

"Most of the unbilled sales will be converted into revenue this year," he said.

In the longer term, the company is also exploring options to monetize its toll operations and properties, including listing the assets in a real estate investment trust, he added.

Shares of Ekovest, which have gained 15% over the past 12 months, are currently trading 1.8% lower at 1.07 ringgit apiece.
