Hi Khuen. pardon me.. i am wondering.. if the MYR was at the weakest during year 2016 and 2017.. which might not be reflected in the FOREX gain/loss... not sure how much will that affect the profit in 2017? considering latest quarterly result, first half of 2017 dropped 10%, i thought they supposed to increase more because of FOREX gain?

sorry wrong spelling.. dividend.. and considering Airasia prospect and Hari Raya / election rally coming.. TUNE price will not likely to fall in these two months..

I am a long term investor of TUNE.. But if you would like to consider the short term quick profit.. considering 52 cents divident (which they paid once a year), stock price at 1.45 now.. you buy today and sell by end of May you get the 52 cents divident.. 0.052/1.45 you get 3.6% dividend yield with 2 months investment.. if you annualise it will be 21.6% per annum return.. why not?

If I must find an explanation of the price movement of Homeritz these few days, maybe it's just a re-adjustment of the dividend yield, 5 cents for the year, so majority of the market today think it's fair price to be around 1.00 so the dividend yield is 5%, about 1% above FD rate, sth like that? That's for today, then tomorrow or next week the market might think differently.

Nice to learn from the interesting topics here. I believe those who look at fundamental like me n some of u guys, have a long term view of the company, some movement of price in short period might just be the dynamics of the psycology of the market, the true value only can be seen if we take like above 7 years view. And valuation is more of an art, no two persons have the same value of a company, so there is no win or lose, don't take it too emotionally guys. i believe everyone's opinion is useful, that's what this forum is for.

Don't think can estimate now because we don't have access to the result & balance sheet of their investments, if they choose to distribute, then have to see the equity/book value in hand, which also include realized gains/loss in their investments, cash & estates (especially the Jobstreet building in Jalan tun ismail), depending on valuations these could end up a very good price per share. But just looking at P/E & earning valuations, the stock is very much undervalue now. I bought a lot myself!

Short term view, quite a huge portion of revenue is from Oil & Gas sectors, share price might not shoot in the short term. But long term i think it's still a great stock to own!

Either way, very high chance the share price will shoot, it's a great time to hold its shares now..

I think either Mark has found a strategic acquisition, or there will be surprise positive result from operation & investment, 104 corp dividend is one of them. according to an interview that i heard last time, he has been looking around. Maybe he can't find any, then possible distribution of all shares and cash to shareholder.

I find the market is weird sometimes, ya high oil price will lead to higher shipping, transport, & production cost, but considering export company which is huge enough (on average Homeritz is shipping more than 150 containers per month), the oil price effect on their overhead is pretty small.

Recent sell down is due to normal market noise, worries on expected foreign labor cost increase, strengthening of MYR, n economic slowdown in US, Europe, n ANZ. But these countries are not in recession, ANZ which is Homeritz major market (>30%), is doing well (not great due to mining slowdown) but still good! Now is the time to buy more! I am buying aggressively anything below MYR 0.93 ! it's relatively cheap considering the strong fundamental!

Homeritz is one of those good export oriented Malaysian company, great profit margin (highest among furniture manufactuere, good ROE, very low debt to equity ratio, great inventory n receivables turnover.. Family run business, founder husband n wife still very much active in the management.. most of the raw material is leather n fabric (not so much affected by commodity price like timber) sourced from low cost country, India n ASEAN, selling to high income countries including ANZ, Europe, n US.

It seems lots of technical guys here.. understand we are from different school.. I am pure long term fundamental.. I know little about charting.. but I believe with experience and discipline, charting is a great tool to make money in the short term .. I respect!

What a great opportunity to buy more! As Warren Buffet used to say.. when we are young n net buyer of stocks for the long term, we should be happy during a falling market, not the other way. Only during a falling market, that we can make big money! According to my amateur valuation, it's below intrinsic value now.. I could be wrong with TUNE, but it's worth the risk... No one can predict the bottom.. it's dollar averaging that could catch the minimum price possible..

However, I believe those are temporary, long term of the business should be great! it's known fact general insurance is very good business model, with no significant inventory, credit term (receivable) problem to manage. Re-insurance to spread out the risk. Marketing is one of the challenge in this business, but it's well in a position to leverage on Air Asia marketing/Network & IT system, will save some cost here n there I guess.. the only worries is the new young CEO at age 43.. not sure if he is good enough.. anyway.. I am accumulating lots of TUNEPRO shares from MYR 1.30 down...

recent selling pressure could be due to middle east tension between Saudi-Iran, which could affect traveling with Air Arabia (UAE based), poor performance of general insurance arm in Thailand, & anticipated prolong MYR depression that could affect further travelling business for AirAsia n thus travel insurance which still contribute significantly to the group.
