If I were the tan brother. I would just let the price to fall as much as it could and take it private. Then all the remaining lands they have is non of the bilis business or the director just take all the money generate from the land sales in form of director remuneration. All bilis kena game

Malaysia has company act to protect minority shareholders. If directors simply withdraw all cash generated from the land sales it is considered as misappropriate of company funds and can be brought to court. Don't simply create fears here. Are you ready to be responsible if bilis panic and sell their shares at a loss?

Recession leads to business activities slowing down. Properties is likely the hardest hit, not soft commodities for example wheat, including our favourite roti chanai.
Just a bit of my sharing, I am learning from you guys too.

When buying power exceed supplies it cause inflation. Supplies may include goods and services for example commodities and transport. Increase in per capita income of a country is one of the main factors that cause inflation.

Interest rate hike is used to discourage spending, the demand is basically unchanged. Quantity Easing would not likely be able to boost commodities prices, only increase in demand can. Another round of QE would possibly push down the interest rate instead and boosting the equaties market, it actually cannot help to build a healthier economy.

A mild rebound lately is barely enough to recover from the recent dip. It is still very undervalue at this price. Anyway, we look forward to a more reasonable price upsurge in weeks to come.

Wilmar has managed to fulfil the Indonesian government’s requirement to provide community plantations up to at least 20% of the total concession area of the company.

Currently, the company has a total planted area of over 34,032 hectares under government-originated plasma schemes and currently has fully met the regulation requirements.

The analysts also note an increasing demand for sustainability-certified palm products, with Wilmar saying that 91% of its RSPO production sold as RSPO and under schemes such as the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC).

They maintain their net profit forecasts for Wilmar at US$1.78 billion ($2.49 billion), US$1.82 billion and US$2 billion for 2022, 2023 and 2024 respectively.

Some catalysts that they see for the company are a stronger recovery in China operations, and a surprise margin upside from the good timing in sourcing of raw materials.
