As long as the company is paying dividends, price will not have too big movement. you are substituting capital gains for dividends.

this is a plain old boring vanilla company. dont expect it to grow overnight. when price go up, ppl get greedy waiting for it to go higher and higher. when price come down, den u regret for not selling. use your brains when investing, and less of your emotion. ive seen this price shoot up to 0.96, dint sell, dint regret. because this company is worth holding. if u are just aiming for quick gains just sell it once it reaches ur percentage gain. dont keep look back and complain.

no point to diversify your portfolio, better to pick winners than to have winners and losers in one basket. bjcorp have winners and losers inside. not my cup of tea. mostly their hotel business and retail side not doing good. otherwise they have some really strong brands.

I admire KCChongNZ writting as he could give historical financial data to support his argument. (trends, ROE, Growth and etc). Perhaps one day bjcorp can become the next berkshire perhaps, but what are the oughts?

Would you rather invest in a shaky company and pray hard everyday that this company will recover from its financial difficulties and make huge gains ; or rather invest in a somewhat stable/ good company that can provide u average gains. you decide?

The uncertainty is a risk factor you have to take. Everyone have their personal investing styles. and we have no right to judge.

however, it is hilarious to use warren buffet to lure ppl into buying BJcorp, as it is a very big insult to his intelligence. anyone tht have some kind of knowlegde on W.B will tell you that he only invest in companies with good past earnings record selling at undervalued/reasonable price. as for BJcrop at this current state, this criteria dont qualified.

Financial Ratios tell you if a company is Good/Average/Bad. The trick here is finding the fair value of how much a co. is worth. everybody can see the same Financials. but each & every individual will have a different calculation of how much a company is worth. Again, Financial Ratios is universal.

no, i do not want to study your tread or post in pmcorp. In fact, i studied almost 8 years of their annual report and found out the root of their problem. until, now they are still struggling to lower their COGS and S,G,A expenses. Perhaps they can still come back and be successful one day.....but that is only just MAYBE. Share price dont determine ur success as investor...all counters also move up and down, i also make money. price factor dont determine if it is good company full stop

how can you justify if it is good company using their share price ? negative earnings company also can have sudden price movement upwards, does that mean is good company? as long as got people goreng inside, price can sudden shoot up also ! even if u can make alot money from it, that dont justify u are good investor, good speculator is more appropriate.

why u keep talk share price and history, last time i also bought oldtown at 1.92, den went up to 2.70..........bought padini at 1.62, after that went up to highest 2.10..........how can u compare share price, all counter also move up and down. NTA NTA NTA, where is peanut and butter?

i do not like the sudden price movement upwards. prefer slow and steady. price must always be justified by numbers. dont be tempted to sell out even at high price. buy a company for its business value, not temporary price changes. cheers.

should the price goes up to 70 cents or 80 cents tomorrow, i wont say that i missed the boat, but i will say that i missed a leaking boat. unless i am sure that the management is repairing the boat, i will not ride on it.

surely the company is very undervalued. however, around 30% of assets are made up of good will and intangibles. those are not real value unless you are selling it. besides, the long term debts in the balance sheet looks alarming. in the short term, bjcorp might be able to restructure its financials. if the next financial crisis should happen tomorrow, i dont think they are able to withhold their operating fix costs. in my opinion, can only invest for short term, not long term. Otherwise, you are only speculating on a brighter future. poor fundamentals will eventually eat away asset values. bjcorp should cut away their wounded limbs, because they have some really good brands. but the overall picture just looks gloomy. just saying.

this is really good company. i do not intend to sell it even if reach my target price. hard to find companies which are fundamentally solid. unless it becomes overvalued den i will consider selling it.
