is it not share price run up because to cover penalty from selling more than 1/50?
at current price RM 0.42, simple 1/50 consolidation means share price on friday should be RM 0.42 x50 = RM 21.
siyes shit?

@500bilis
" Imagine those didnt opt for RI, RM40k for 20,000 shares... "
Ppl like me wont be able to subscribe. and this is where im coming from on feeling screwed by the 100-to-1 cash call on the shareholders whereas the bankers walked away with almost no haircut (the big ones anyways).
RHB donate a 0.01% haircut.
Bank Pembangunan gave 1.07%.
OCBC took a massive 14.9% haircut.
Maybank islamic walked off with 0.72%.
Short term syndicate bankers donate 0.01%.
Maybank took 5.09% haircut.
affin took at 39% hit.
ocbc (labuan) suffered with 46% haircut.
overall haircut for the banks: 2.26%.
What the fuck is this? Granted shareholders rank below bankers, but for a company in financial distress for the banks to collectively "donate" some piece or armpit hair for 2.26% of total loans is bloody fucking shite.
I vote for no go for restuructruing and let the fucking banks suffer the pain as well.

aiyoh share price drop so much heartache.
granted the technical kaki and chartists all sold higher levels, so know who selling? the kancheong category?
on the fundamental side:
1. How bad would KNM be impacted from the donald and his molot longkang?
2. How much would KNM gain from the pariah status of the weakening MYR?

3pm buyer: sooner or later have to make substantial shareholder announcement for the amount they have been buying. this will be required once they buy 5% of knm.
knm-wb: many angles. fact is, warrants are priced based on intrinsic value (difference between warrant strike price to mother share), and time value.
Intrinsic value is zero. Strike RM 1, mother share 41sen.
Time value: 59sen + warrant price now.
Hence the worry, if the buying all this while is to generate and push warrant to have some value so that majority shareholder can sell.
*so far: no announcement by major holders on warrant disposal so thats good.
recall for the warrant is less than one year to expiry, so caveat emptor guys.
then, as speculated, theres an anaconda wanting to wallop knm and believes value is above RM 1. So can buy both mother share and warrant at the same time; to exercise at RM 1 to convert to shares wWHEN mother share is above RM 1.

@Leempeh: learn some manners and not go off tangent whingeing your morale crusade on a thread for knm.
You gave it a mention. Thanks. Enough already. From petang, to late at night, to Dawn, still whingeing. Shut up already

FMs would buy with min Target of 30-50% return
Hedge funds would also buy or short with 30-50 min Target returns.
Scalpers make one bid per day Oso they wallop.
That's why to me, to each their own.
Max gains is more or perspective: some hold strategy works: PNB is holding Maybank at 60sen or whatever.
Day traders buying knm wb some would have been able to make 200% in one day if not more.
All I can say is kudos to them for locking gains. It's important to remember to lock on gains.
In my wildest dreAm I just hope there would be announcement to say MGO offer at RM 2.10 or something.
*Lol

To each their own.
The fundamental investors approach is different to the traders.
The traders approach is different to day traders.
To each their own rezeki. I am just jealous of Yusuf, and it's only fair he locks in his gains. Especially on warrants with not much life left.

reminds me of bumi armada back at the turn of trhe century.
bumi armada was listed during 98 financial crisis (thereabouts).
at the time the FPSO was their crown jewel, and made money. the competitor trenergy also had fpso but very lumpy income.
then about 2002 or therebouts ananda took private. wahliao. so bising the market saying the offer undervalue companny worth. ananda reasonign was simply, why then you lot price much lower? ;P

just to share my bleedin porftolio:
30% in knm, now +40%
60% in icon, now -50% (cannot tahan avg down all the time)
10% in alam, (now -5% including the free warrants)
20% in barakah (godem -50% i thought buying at 10 sen was worth it considering samling entry at 50sen).
now just pray. no bullet to buy more until i lock in gains in Kami Nak Makan ;P
Glad to see alam making it to top volume group today. hoping same for the problematic icon. have a strong feeling the restructuring will include hair cut and consolidation of share cap, die la laik dat.

buying supported by local fund managers as well, and with orders passed through being "Careful Discretion" <-- fund managers leave it to brokers to get the buying done without setting a price.
Helps to cement a longer term and more sustainable price increase.
