stockraider, I haven't sold my BCorp and BLand shares, but does dispose some BCorp to buy BLand, believing BURSA/SC SHOULD act on behalf of minorities on this matter. Sigh! With VT disposing BLand and BCorp lately, genuinely hope it's not one the biggest mistakes I have made...

stockraider, I applaud Sslee's effort. Bursa made a HUGE mistake when not requiring an MGO prior to approving BCorp acquiring a stake in BLand from Penta. It's akin to telling majority shareholder that they can do whatever they want. If so, what's the whole point of setting up so many listing rules? How will minorities interests be protected if Bursa/SC always kowtow to major shareholder???

Like the article said, VT holds 1.1 billion shares of BCorp directly and another 13.23% through Hotel Resort. BCorp can NEVER own more than 10% shares in treasury by LAW!

Nope, when the 45 million shares disposed is announced, ONLY VT and son making the announcement. BCorp doesn't make any announcement. If it's BCorp disposing, there'll be an announcement by BCorp as well.

If VT cares about minority interests, and if the buyer is institutional, he should make a clarification to the investing public. This announcement gives minorities, particularly the retail investors, a strong feeling that VT is goreng up the shares to DUMP!

The 45 million BCorp shares sold are VT's personal holding if I were not wrong, nothing to do with Sompo. What joke are you guys talking about???

I too believe BLand is highly undervalued, but if VT is not sharing, what good there is for us the minorities... Guess the low valuation is a self-inflicted shit, with the only exception that minorities got hit harder.

unfortunately, based on Penta's deal, there's a high possibility that VT won't or can't afford to privatize BJLand, cause the deal only offer to buy a portion of Penta's BJLand holding. Though, I am not in his position, it's hard to judge.

bjcorp at 0.395 means BCorp has valued Penta's BLand at 0.50 currently, while market is valuing BLand at 0.275. Bursa failed to protect minorities allowing the deal to go through while minorities squeezed by the liquidity issue yet "claim" they can't force listed company to offer MGO. What a piece of shit!

Much to worry about. With BCorp at 0.355 currently, Penta who's gotten the exchange ratio of 0.38/0.30 saw their holding in BLand valued at 0.45, a fat difference from what BLand is traded now, i.e., 0.255-0.26. You may not mind, I do, felt like second class as a minorities.
