the dividend seems smaller compared to last year..is it because of lack of enforcement by govt to punish all illegal cigarette sales that contribute up to 67% of tobacco economy..

EGM is set to be this Thursday 5th March, so still got time to rally all shareholders and investors to join and vote to remove the BOD, and settle the issue once & for all

govt seized only 12% in illicit cigarettes, and the rest managed to be smuggled and sold, causing huge economic loss and drops in shares..not too mention the imposition of high tax will only encourage people to buy more of the illicit cigarettes..

Total government tax revenue loss is RM5bil and Malaysia among the highest in the region in terms of illicit cigarettes..no wonder BAT shares drop down quite a lot since last year..

did you know that 6 out of 10 cigarettes consumed in Malaysia is illicit? no wonder in 2019, BAT's revenue fell down 11%..
