Malaysian communications provider Time dotCom has completed the long-planned acquisitions of Global Transit companies and AIMS Group as part of its transition to a regional wholesale service provider. Time purchased 100 percent in Global Transit Communications from Pulau Kapas Ventures for a consideration of MYR 102 million, which was settled with the issue of 28.73 million new Time shares. The company also bought 100 percent of Global Transit Limited from a number of investors for a consideration of MYR 101 million, which includes a cash payment of MYR 40.40 million and 17.07 million Time dotCom shares. The acquisition also included 100 percent in Global Transit Entities from Global Transit International and 100 percent of AIMS Group from Megawisra for MYR 119 million, which was settled with 20.11 million new Time shares and a cash payment of MYR 47.60 million. AIMS Group is a provider of carrier neutral data centre services. Global Transit Communications is a regional internet service and backhaul provider for telecommunication service providers, while Global Transit holds a 10 percent interest in the Unity Cable System. Global Transit Entities holds internet licences in Singapore and Hong Kong.
