Salamander wont agree to the share swap at 1.57 shares of salamander for 1 Ophir. Now based on the share closing the exchange should be about 2 shares for 1 share of Ophir.

Cicak wont buy Ophir because african cost of producing is higher than current crude oil price.

Previous deals between Salamander & Ophir was based on high share prices of both company and the ratio of share swap is 1.57 to 1. But as at yesterday closing of 69.25 and 137.70, the ratio of swap stand at 1.99 to 1. So i don't think Salamander shareholders will voted the proposal. Of course Ophr shareholders wont voted too because dilution is bigger now.

So Sona stands a better chance of getting the deals thru but hope Hadian will bring down the proposal value since Salamander price have drop a lot when the original offers were made.

Further to that, the production costs of crude in Asia is 2nd lowest in the world around USD40/barrel with the Artic region the lowest cost of production. Where as African region is the highest above USD70/barrel. No wonder Ophir from africa going for Salamander assets which mostly located in Asia.

Hope Sona will get the deals thru this time courtesy of Bursa delayed.

Sona offers is buying the Thailand production oilfield for 40% stakes. Ophir is buying the whole Salamander for 100% shares swapped.

Can someone explains more precisely on this separate deals.

Ophir price will go down today, i think Salamander shareholders wont be happy about the deals.

Remember that Sona in the end of 3rd year will refund 90% of the IPO 50 sen plus interest.

Sona still got 1.5 years to acquire assets, whereas Cliq shareholders still keeping faith and supporting the shares so well at 60 sen level.

Why Sona holders so weak?

Come thinking of it, Salamander Boards asking shareholders to votes ophir offers at 202.50 whereas it last trading at 167.50. So as a conscience shareholders i wont voted for it. Ophir shareholders on the other hand won't approved the deals via issuance of more shares since the company is making losses and this additional shares will diluted the earning per share. So it just a show of hand and when actual EGM on Ophir/Salamander end will be met with a votes of rejects.

Can Sona seek penalty on this deals from Salamander?

If Salamander vote acceptance of Ophir offers of share swapped based on Ophir price of 202.50 , then they're stupid since Ophir price from to 167.50 yesterday. Means they are getting lesser shares swapped.

Means the deal is off if the shareholders votes against Sona offers. Mean Sona need to go for backup plan. Sigh.

Salamander with Ophir offers whereby salamander Boards asking shareholders to vote acceptance of the deals with Ophir and vote against Sona deal

Sona offers is GBP280mil for 40% whereas Ophir offer 100% Salamander for share swapped valuing GBP267mil. So far only some stakeholders (25.7%) accepted verbally.

Now the real issues is getting conditional acceptance at Salamander EGM to made the deals go thru as SONA EGM should be no issues since everyone is happy that SC have given the greenlight.

Hope they pull thru this one.

Why blame foreign workers?. Blame the authorities that approved the development on hillslopes. Then blame enforcement units for not going round to catch any individual that develops any empty lands without licenses. The foreign workers only brought in to helps certains industries in the area.

SC didn't issue UMA from 40 sen to 935 sen because got personal interest so the only way is designated non syariah compliant.
