KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd today announced it would divest its 25 per cent stake in AAE Travel Pte Ltd to Expedia Inc for RM306.187 million.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, AirAsia said it had executed a share purchase agreement (SPA) Expedia, Expedia Southeast Asia Pte Ltd, and its a wholly-owned subsidiary, AirAsia Exp Pte Ltd to facilitate the divestment.

Expedia and AirAsia each hold a 50 per cent stake in AAE Travel, a joint venture company, through Expedia Southeast Asia and AirAsia Exp, respectively.

"The cost of investment by AirAsia in AAE Travel will result in a gain on disposal of RM279.598 million that would be realised in the first quarter 2015.

"The payment for the sale consideration would be made within eight business days after all its affiliated airlines have signed the amended and restated joint venture ticketing agreement and restated ticketing agreement," it said.

AirAsia said the rationale for the transaction was to monetise its investment in AAE Travel and to increase liquidity and access to capital.

"The transaction would also result in increased earnings per share, net assets per share and lower gearing ratio," it added. -- BERNAMA

至於日前剛面臨管理層人事變動的亞航X，如今仍在為轉虧為盈而努力。市場上共有15家證券行追蹤該股，其中有7家給予“賣出”或“落後大市”評級，只有兩家給予“買進”。

無論如何，投資這還是需額外關注亞航和亞航X的美元計債務。馬幣兌美元匯率持續疲弱，兩隻航空股料需承受一定程度的外匯虧損。

oil counter still not much movinf is 1. Armada (TP 2.05) 2. Perdana (TP 1.8) according to Maybank TP. Others already very close to TP, profit margin is around 15%

Newbie 11, since you not buy back when EPF start buying at 2.3 now is very hard to make decision.

my personal opinion is if the oil price can stable at WTI 52...this counter still have chance back to RM 3.3 on May..so you can average down so that you can avoid loss.

another way ...but very risky is use extra money or sell your current mother share but buy sekpetro-C9. expired end of the year 15 Dec 2015. If oil can rebounce on May and Skpetro become HALAL counter...this C9 will damn cheap at current price...but I encourage try to catch it at 0.09 to 0.100 when skpetro price drop (..tips early morning when some contra player sell down the price)

just my opinion. I hold 200,000 shares C9 at 0.09...in out 2 times. sold at 0.110, and 0.120. Recent buy again at 0.110 plan to sell at 0.120.
